someones got it in for me, when I first noticed a change in the heat, the first few freebies i posted were all -2.4 and the others -1.8, someone/s probably voted them all cold on purpose

I went with the crowd and voted cold, usually people will just see the minus score and add to it without reading the comments...like me

Id love to know why people voted cold?

...for me its because who in their right mind would want a sample of artificial grass? Surely its a total waste of money for a company to send it out, and when you do get it...what could you possibly do with it? Its probably going to be postage stamp sized and youll end up throwing it in the bin. Which is a total waste!

Definately not something Im interested in, as this is HOTUKDeals.com not Useless-Tat.com

Lazylawn Artificial grass samples were posted before and have positive heat, and no these arent miniature samples. The other one were about 15cm by 30cm with a rounded tip, like a very miniature crazy golf lawn

Theres one use, Use it to hit the golf balls balls from.

Could do for people who build war stuff, Have a bit of grass underneath it etc.

well yeah neither am i gonna order it but i don't have to vote cold on every posting unless i feel rather strongly about it. imho it's like having to state an either hot or cold vote regardless whether it is useful or not for the rest of the UKHD, pretty tedious and time-consuming no? ... there will always be some people who do need such things, that's how it works ;-)

for example if there is a deal for porche cars ie 10% discount or membership to a golf club, does it deserve a cold vote because i can't afford to buy one?

not saying it's wrong to vote either cold or hot, at the end of the day it's an individual prerogative and reasons why it is a cold deal, but bear in mind people might decide not to submit deals and just submit the popular things. then you're stuck with google checkout type of ads, simply a button to push some big corporate advertiser

Theres a rude "trim my bush" poster  from encams, I posted that a while ago.

Do you mean something like a artificial shrub or a plush george bush toy?

Anyone know where I can get some free bush?

Local pub at the cost of about 4 drinks! :giggle:

Original Poster

I think artificial shrubbery would be far too expensive to post samples of, unless u mean the size of a twig

"Reduce maintenance around any grave area. Safe to mow or strim around."

Because thats what we want, to bring our lawn movers to every cemetery in the country and start mowing the lawn around them ;-)

lol - instant 'swept under the carpet'!

sorry if comments seem insensitive but am possessed by 6-feet-under brand of black humour at this witching hour ...

funny how a bit of special grass can go beyond its mail order use ... rep given for bout of laffs - if not already.

oh drats - have to spread more lurve around first ...

use: depending on how 'tall' the grass blades are ... combined with the right carpet sample ... walla! velcro.

lol.

These came today, little square and rectangle samples, if anyone wants bigger samples then try the lazylawn ones, you get 3 large ones in a green and white plastic bag (grass that is)

mine arrived today as well. sizes vary 4 x 4 inches or 3 x 4 inches. i gaffer-taped the back of the 6 samples (rubber) and made a quick-fix temporary door mat for the cat flap.

You have to watch out for the larger grass samples, I mean the long grass ones, because the grass likes to fall out of them, at least for the lazylawn ones they do.

Received today, Sent first class which I thought was odd! (More expensive!)

They are tiny samples, About 4x4 inches as above!

and sometimes slower too, my mum sent a cheque off and it arrived 10 days later! 1st class too

A few piddly bits of pretend grass arent going to weigh/cost much in the post, compared to most things that size, maybe they want to send you the samples asap so you'll make an order and they'll get your money asap? jk
