"Omg, single player DLC?"
"ah, a remaster. Of course"
My account still has 10 billion from the time someone did a cash drop in the lobby, that was over 3 years ago

Rockstar Games. One of the biggest studios in the gaming industry, money flying in from online and the best they could muster is a "expanded and enhanced" version of a PS3 title? Nice

Thought the PS5 launch was pants. Titles lineup very lacklustre

Deleted GTAV off my PS4 a while back. Looks like there's a lot more content since I last played. Can anyone chime in to say whether it's worth the 100+ GB and the constant loading screens?

I think the good titles were kinda drowned out by the masses of random indie games tbh. Horizon 2, Spider-Man, GT 7 and ratchet and clank all look good.

That's if they make it past the loading screens
This can only mean 1 thing. GTA 6 will be at least 2022
Such a shame as it's a really good game. Hopefully PS5s SSD will change that going forward.

Anyone have GTAV on PC with a quick SSD? Are the loading screens still a problem?

It's Take2, not Rockstar at this point. Don't forget the company also publishes the unskippable ad nightmare of a game that is NBA 2k20.

And just to put that into context, here's a snippet from their most recent Q4 results announcement;

"Total Net Bookings grew 49% to $729.4 million, as compared to $488.4 million during last year’s fiscal fourth quarter. Net Bookings from recurrent consumer spending grew 47% year-over-year and accounted for 61% of total Net Bookings. The largest contributors to Net Bookings were Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto V, NBA 2K20, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online, Borderlands 3, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, Social Point’s mobile games, and WWE SuperCard and WWE 2K20."

In other words; people are still spending crazy amounts on Shark Cards (one example of recurrent consumer spending) on a 2013 game.

In fairness mate if they have a game that cost $250 million to make and made back $6 billion and people carry on buying it they’re going to milk it til the teets bleed and i dont blame them, its a business at the end of the day.
That rachet and clank demo shows that they can load an entire levels worth of assets almost instantly, so I'm guessing GTA will load within seconds?

Also watch YouTube videos of GTA 5 with mods on ultra high end PCs , unless the PS5 version is recreated from the ground up it won't look any better than whats available already surely? Rockstar can't be that greedy, oh wait 'GTA online'...

I personally enjoyed it as a first showcase of the PS5 , no filler, no politics, just games games games and obviously the big hardware reveal at the end. Which is stunning!

I was on the fence about getting a launch console, but after seeing the design and of course DEMON'S SOULS remake I'm 100% in 👌

Guess you're an Xbox gamer? The event was amazing and at least we saw some glameplay!
Come on the game is like 7 years old now. Done and dusted!
Waiting for GTA 6
TBH GTA V is still a great game. If they did a solid remaster then I could see it having a couple more years. But it has run its course on current gen.
I for one can't wait to play GTA V on a better console, I've seen youtube videos where the game looks really nice, I'm guessing that was high end PC version.

I've been active in this game since 17th September 2013.

I agree with holidayman, I play both consoles and think 90% of the games shown are

As with all showcases they probably cut and change a lot of things by time the game comes out, we saw what they want to achieve not necessarily what they will achieve

Not even that. The same game lol
Nobody is talking about the fact that GTA Online will be a standalone game that is free for 3 months - i.e. after that, it is going to be a subscription service that you will need to pay in addition to the PSN Plus subscription...

And how will the PS4 GTA5/Online running on the PS5 compare to the native PS5 versions? Will there be any improvements at all other than standard things like load speeds, frame rate, etc.

I’m quite shocked tbh. Last night showed something for everyone. New IP’s, sequels and the hardware. The Xbox event was just a load of cinematic trailers.

I was on the fence but quite frankly I can’t wait to get a ps5 now, especially with Spider-Man launching this year too 😁
