If you go via the get deal link there is a big box to enter the code and a sign up button right next to it, that should do the trick. Once you have signed up you can then download the app and sign in as usual.

Just found that it’s free for a year if you are unemployed.

headspace.com/unemployed

No proof needed, although it does ask some questions like previous employer, industry and when you last worked. Easy enough to make up.

Same if you're an "educator" - teachers and support staff in schools, universities etc. You just need proof of employment (although the automated system they use can be finicky).

When I signed up in February it gave me an Annual subscription. I just checked my account and it's definitely annual. I'll admit the page there doesn't specifty a length, though.
