Old news to you maybe...
Some didn't get vouchers this month, first time I'm aware of that happening

John Lewis must be very desperate as their bonuses have been going down every year........
I signed up for this years ago and despite buying items up to Rangemaster cooker don't get any coffee and cake vouchers. Odd given my wife gets them. She gives them to me and whilst the coffee and cafe are fine the cake is not great but you can get scones and cheese scones which are fine. Nice to see others get this too. I reckon they target women with these vouchers.
Good deal! Out of 3 of us now only 2 of us get the vouchers ... and yes both of us are women .. maybe the vouchers are less now but they r still coming 💪
"a free hot drink and cake at least three times a year".. wow!

It used to be every month (ages ago, yeah), but (considering the previous replies) it's time to prepare hips for the summer
The vouchers aren't the main benefit of the card...

1. you get digital receipts which help with the guarantee (lose the receipt you lose the extra year) and unlike email receipts it's tied to your account with John Lewis so there's really no risk of them going missing unlike deleting or 'losing' emails.

The receipts can also be used for proof of purchase in home insurance claims, which is increasingly being asked for upon claims, so it's a free way of having peace of mind...

2. Also if you register your account you can receive a £5 voucher throughout the year, it's only £5, but it's £5 less than if you don't register your card.

Again, it's free, you can add the card to your Apple wallets or android pay so not yet another store card, and yes I'm biased as I work there but what I've mentioned isn't something I'm trained on or told to say, it's just why I as a customer have one myself!
The only negative point is that you can’t use this card when buying online which is a bit annoying!
It does work both for John Lewis and free cake. Never went in John Lewis before but since free cake have been an occasional customer.

Same. Have been going with friends every few months for a couple of years. Choice of cakes really dropped. They used to have a selection of half a dozen, perhaps a few more, large fresh gateaux. Now, usually just scones and maybe one or two small slices to choose from. OK for a freebie, but now they won't even stamp my parking ticket.

I had the same problem, and I also spent quite a bit in there too yet my husband & daughter never did but always got the vouchers! they said it was to do with me not having the marketing preferences activated correctly even though I had. So I rang in the end and finally received 2 vouchers after having none for over 18 months. So worth a call. I’m hoping I’ll get some more soon. The cake is generally average but last weeks was lovely (Highcross Leicester) as is the coffee unless you get a good barista but at least it’s a welcome sit down. I certainly wouldn’t pay the £11.45 that it should have been for 2 of us for coffees and cakes I’d rather go elsewhere or get a nice cake and go home.

We've had tonnes of them just keep signing up In different names
Used to get the drink and cake vouchers regularly but have't had them for months now, just money off vouchers for high end items
Didn't get this quarter. Cold.
We get the vouchers regular as clockwork. As well as the freebies, they also offer other things ie breakfast and a drink for £4, so JL get a thumbs up from me. The cakes and scones are usually decent in the Newcastle store.
Just a note that you will stop getting the vouchers if you unsubscribe from their promotional emails - so that may be why some people have not received them!

Also it works automatically online if you buy through the account it is registered too.
I've just received my new voucher book and it contains:-

1) £5 gift card if you spend £50 in store or online.
2) 50% off your first Cook Well Box.

Personally, I'd prefer the hot drink and coffee vouchers.

You can - you link it to your online account.
Cakes always poor in my experience. This used to be a better deal when the voucher didn’t have a specific date period on. Could go with friend and use 2. Now one of us has to pay and as already mentioned not worth the money. Someone needs to teach JL how to make cake

Don’t think so - I’ve had my card for about 3 years and it’s always been on my account!

........due to all their customers eating their tea & cakes.
I’ve been doing it for years as well - spending varies not a huge amount although have used them to buy pushchair for twin granddaughters.

This time I got 3 drink & cake vouchers (March, April and May) £5 voucher if 50 spent in May, 50% off first cook well box and Easter gift for using the app (box of chocolate eggs).

The rewards are a nice bonus - the staff are always polite and very helpful.
Me too! have been a member for over 3 years and only received their coupon and vouchers twice
