They have generally benefited from rampant house price inflation, secure jobs, great pensions, free bus passes and now mince pies.
many pensioners are much better off than the average citizen. Some will welcome it and need it, but many others really need some help

what age classify you as a senior citizen ?

If you're asking then you're not old enough

Chip on shoulder (as well as ignorant)!

Turning a blatant marketing giveaway at Morrisons into an anti-boomer rant takes a bit of doing but at least you tried.

there will be about 200 old fogies at each store after a freebie. will take them all 10 minutes to decide on which hot drink they want and then they will want an alternative to the mince pie. Afterwards they will start complaining about the quality.
Merry Christmas

One of the comments on their facebook page states "... the age we're defining as senior is 55+ however we're not ID'ing. I hope this helps- Matthias"

I've just realised that means I can get a free mince pie and hot drink too as I'm 57

I'm fairly sure I could stand in the middle of the 200 and it sill wouldn't sound as incoherently cranky as HUKD.

Is this like the government's car scrapage scheme of a few years back - you get a free hot drink for every pensioner - I'll be trading in a few

My one closed down.

Note to self: avoid Morrison's during these times

Yeah, the old folks homes will be bussing them down and calling it a day out.

Morrisons really know their target demographic.

Whoops, I agreed with that and liked it - then I realised I'm a senior citizen.

Available in my local store today, 2 ladies asking ladies and gents if they wanted one...a lovely gesture at Christmas

Morrissons isn't a charity - they're tempting out people who don't go out so much in the hope they can drag some of that lovely disposable income out of their tight, tight arthritic claws
