As a Patron of The Open, HSBC is celebrating the return of the world's oldest major, The Open, to St Andrews (July 16-19) with the launch of HSBC Hour, offering an hour of free golf to children and their families at almost 300 golf clubs all over the country.

The initiative - which is part of HSBC's "Anyone's Game" campaign - sees HSBC team up with The Golf Foundation and ClubGolf Scotland to give thousands of young people and their families an introduction to the sport during the week of The Open.

HSBC's Anyone's Game campaign is all about opening up the world of golf - everyone's invited, irrespective of background, age or ability so what better way to bring this to life than to open up the doors of golf clubs during the week of The Open and help provide a valuable first step on the ladder for thousands of young golfers.

Most schools have broken up, or break up this Friday, the last two dates fall on a weekend.

Anyway, it's going slightly off track so i'll leave it there

maybe they can also teach your kids to launder money for the Mexican drug cartels

Nothing for Northern Ireland

Our local club is doing this and there's also 20 free t-shirts lined up for the kids.

Just rung our local golf club. Our session is this Sunday morning. I was told it's a fun hour for all the family with games and they're also giving out t-shirts. They just asked how many people I was bringing so they have an idea of numbers.

The couple I looked at were this week & the kids are still at school here

My local one's this Saturday between 12 and 1pm, best check other local clubs as days do vary.

Mainly midweek near me

You don't have to call and arrange times, the times are set per-location and are clearly shown on the website @goonertillidie linked.

Closest to me, one is on Saturday and the other is on Friday, but even if you had kids in school on Friday it starts 4:30pm so it's after school anyway.
