Thanks I've used this site for a while now and thought its time to give something back, hope someone finds the deal useful

i used them when travelling in south east asia (bali, malaysia, etc) a few years ago, they're like ryanair/easyjet. with the frequency of flights it's great for short journeys if you want to get anywhere on their route. the airline staff had a special draw on the day we flew to bali, which was kinda sweet! u feel like you're transported into a school bus ... hehe

voted hot.

Thanks, wil check them ... we are planning to travel around SE Asia next year so will be handy ...

looks good will 4ward this 2my friend

They are not "free flights"! Will people stop swallowing this marketing rubbish and repeating it here? Don't abuse the word "free" when it is completely untrue. Look - free bananas - you just pay £1 a pound "tax" - wow!

Who rattled your cage?:p

They are "free" because the tax is charged by Government, not the airline and is not a revenue stream for them.

Still a good deal:thumbsup:

Petrol is almost free.....just add taxes

Could it be the opening poster?

Is the money I pay on these taxes somehow different from the money I pay for the rest of my ticket? No - they are not free - show me where I can get a flight without paying money. That is the definition of "free" - nothing else.

Still a good deal:thumbsup:

It may well be - but please advertise it on its merits, not with the inherent dishonesty of saying it's "free" when it isn't. We are supposed to be bargain hunters here, not dumb consumers lapping up every dreadful marketing tactic of the big corporations. Please tell us how much they cost - people rightly don't like it when things are advertised on here with hefty hidden postage charges - why is this any different?

Don't be stupid!

"Flights are almost free - just add taxes."

And the difference is...?

Thu 02 Apr 2009 - Gold Coast (Brisbane) (OOL) to Kuala Lumpur LCCT (KUL)
0.00 AUD Economy Promo

392.00 AUD XL Promo
* Fares exclude taxes and fees Fare Rules

Total "free" fare inc taxes is AUD 137

The "standard" fare inc taxes is AUD 592 - a difference of AUD 455!!:w00t:

How is that not a bargain :?

Some people!

After arriving in KL you can then use AirAsia to fly almost anywhere in Asia.

RM = Malaysian Ringgit so RM1,200 = GBP 200 (although this probably does not include tax).

To London and back - for RM1,200
By WONG SAI WAN

KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia X will start its flights to London in March next year. And it will cost only about RM1,200 for a return trip on an economy ticket.

The country’s first long-haul budget carrier had announced last year that the Kuala Lumpur-London route would be its mainstay but could not take off because there was no suitable aircraft.

As the actual cost is based on many variables, that would be impossible to do. but as you are probably not a 'dumb consumer' I really can't see what your problem is. If you're interested check it out, if you're not go back to moaning about the weather or something equally useful.

Sorry little confuse but can you fly from London to Asia or these flights only valid in Asia?? Thank You

Giving a minimum price wouldn't. And the minimum price is not zero.

Are you always this lazy and miserable? Do you actually want cheap flights in Asia? If I search will I find your constructive views echoed on every single similar RyanAir deal? Do you work for BA? Is the right side of your bed up against the wall?

When an individual finger-points, it is only for the benefit of that … When an individual finger-points, it is only for the benefit of that individual but when we are a good example, not only does the individual benefits, it allows those who introspect a glimpse of the correct path. The mass media is very good at demonising and teaches/grooms others to self-elevate at others’ expense [by formenting anger/guilt]. If a person wants to help, there is no need to broadcast. Just go ahead and complete the task. If assistance is offered without the need to self-elevate, much more would have been accomplished for if you are loving, there is no need for the exposure of one’s “greatness”. That’s the MO of the typical idiotic-cum-lunatic [at whatever degree of latency/manifestation] and is the reason why the mass media makes news as opposed to merely reporting it. News, the attempt at collectivity by the gossip mongrels masquerading as saints-cum-immortality account accumulators whilst not forgetting that power/accumulation is just another word for division for you cannot have power without digging-up-the-differences-that-exist/differentials. Evil only exists when when you try to tango with it for it is merely a zero-sum game. That which is free costs someone else a pretty penny. Now, a more honest deal is another matter.

WTF are you on about?:?

If you could write clearly, it would help:p

The price is ZERO is for the flight you fool! The airline isn't responsible for taxes.

I've never seen such cynicism!!

Muppets like you only post on deals where you have zero interest or any positive contribution to make - hey and I really rubbish a trash deal!

But at least it would be a trash deal!:p

cheapskate58;2097546

Show me how to get the flight for ZERO and then I will happily accept your label; otherwise perhaps you would be kind enough to take it back and apply it to yourself? :-D

Gawd, how thick are some people!

The flight is ZERO, you pay their Government taxes.

If their Government didn't tax flights, it would cost NOTHING.

How tricky is that to understand?:p

sorry to disappoint but that aint happening, i think british airways and virgin are protesting it but i cant verify this .. i just know it's not happening coz it means bad biz for the boys here.

Neither British Airways, their partner to Asia Quantas, or Virgin fly to Kuala Lumpur, or anywhere else in Malaysia from London. British Airways and Quantas stopped flying there some years ago as they prefer Bangkok and Singapore as there Asian hubs. So I do not understand why "it's not happening coz it means bad biz for the boys here".

if you read the article it says £200 for a ticket (excl tax). now if you follow up these things you will know they originally planned to have it at dirt cheap prices ie £41 to £231 (news.bbc.co.uk/1/h…stm).

£41 to fly 8,000 miles away can you imagine, versus any other airline (i wont put the taxes because it depends where you fly) - how is that not a threat to the boys here?? that is my point and i rest my case. gosh the amount of time to devote to this, it's not the end of the world lol. chill out honeys! it's only a flight ticket.

besides let people make their own minds up, if you think u can really fly for absolutely free then you're a fool for anything.

hence the unsubscribe button.

Is this for people flying within the Far East region, and not for flights taking off from UK?

No flights from the U.K. If you go to deal all the destinations are listed.
