I can't find an iPhone 4 for free on a contract less than £40p/m, unless I've not been looking hard enough! This seemed a good deal, as it's usually £119 for the phone...

Unbelieveable that it's going cold. The iPhone costs £119 on this contract elsewhere

Apple haters be hating.

Problem is phones on contract are quoted with the full price you pay ie 24 x £35 + price of phone = Total Cost of ownership / the price you pay.

Its hot hot hot!

Its £840 over the life of a 2 year contract with a phone probably to be replaced with the iphone 5 before the end of the year.

You can get £30 TCB but its still to steep for me!

I have a Motorola Defy that is going to cost me about £200 over 2 years, can anyone explain why I would want to spend an additional £640 for an iPhone? That is very expensive vanity. I also picked up two spare batteries and a charger for under £12. This deal gives me the shivers. If this is the best deal for an iPhone, then all I can say is that iPhone lovers have more money than sense. Sure it is a nice 'phone but...

It is the best - I wouldn't buy it myself, I only came across it looking at the HTC Sensation deal with the same merchant. But if we could be objective and compare this iPhone deal to other iPhone deals, it's hot.

I don't see anything wrong with this deal. You pay premium prices for a premium phone.

true, but there are other, newly released premium phones that still cost less

unless you simply have to have the newest iphone (which will probably be old in a few months) then i guess this is okay.....i cant believe this is the best contract price for a almost year old phone

the iphone 5 will be out this year, but also within your 24mnth contract the iphone 6 will be out and possibly the iphone 7...24mnths is too long for me anyway, and i think iphones are for people who just like to say they have one and are not bothered about what it can/cant do

Let me educate you, i am an iPhone owner and work in IT so i know exactly what it can and cant do mate, i find the interface, screen, performance and build quality to be excellent hence why i like it. Also a point which most people who dont like Apple products seem to negate is that although they are expensive to buy they hold thier value much better than most consumer electronics which plummet when a new version comes out so you can make alot of the inital cost back.

This is a hot deal if you don't want to fork out £69 upfront for ALOT more on 3.

However I think it's safe to say we'll have the 4's successor by September and therefore the premium shelf life of the 4 is now limited.

iPhones do hold their value well though so you could always offset eBay value against 4 to get the 5 from apple on release for circa £200.

16gb 4's currently go for £350 and above, that shouldn't really dip too much until the release of the 5.

Voting hot as it is hot, in principle.

Let me educate you, i am an iPhone owner and work in IT

Sorry but just because i dispelled the theory that all iPhone owners are idiots who are not technically minded doesnt make me an "ass---e."

Mines cost £646 , Tesco, 12months contract at £35, £229 upfront so cold fromme!

Why do the word patronizing and condescending jump to mind?

How about stereotyping and ignorance for the original post i replied to? Which coincidentally was absolutely nothing to do with you, maybe quidnunc should be the word that jumps to mind.

LMAO...let me educate you...who do you think you are " am an iPhone owner and work in IT so i know exactly what it can and cant do"doesnt say much for your qualification if you think you need to work in I.T to tell what its capable of,my 12 year old son can tell me that(who has my old Iphone 3gs)I currently own an ipad so am not favouring any company but i prefer Android for my mobile but apple for the tablet(ipad)..and your comment on resale value is only true because everyone wants to have an iphone to either follow the crowd or its made by apple..doesnt matter what it can and cant do...in my opinion 99% of iphone owners would buy poop on a stick if it became a must have item

Did you buy the iPad just to say you have one then? Whats wrong with the Andriod offerings?

Basically your are contradicting your own argument, as people buy the iPhone for the same reasons you bought the iPad yet you feel the need to form an opinion that people only buy an iphone to say they have one.

The educating comment was purley to help you get over the myth that some people seem to have that all iPhone owners are non-techincal idiots who just want to follow the crowd.

Was Issued the ipad through my work,i am a manufactuing manager and it enables me to have info at my finger tips to use at work whilst visiting production lines........so didnt technically buy it and dont see the use for it at home in this day and age if you have a cheap netbook which can do so much more,i think its too big to use on the go..more so if you have a smartphone that does the same (more if its Android)...if you check my other posts you will see i dont rate Android as a tablet operating system...not yet anyway

very cold, would have been hot if it was 12 months
