It is great if they have stock. Last time I needed to travel for a morrisons for a pair free books for my boys and the morrisons didnt have it. It was annoying, time and money wasting!

Thanks, was waiting for this again.

The drawback of this is of course having to buy the Daily Mail. The other drawback is that it's Lego Star Wars.

The newspaper makes for excellent papier mâché bricks. Throw one safely and legally at shops owned by undesirables!

Get the Mail "free" from Waitrose when you shop.

Alternatively, pop in to your nearest Wetherspoons and tear the coupon from the newspaper there.

I'll basically just buy it for the Lego 'cause I don't read newspapers.

Excellent deal containing both a potential choke hazard and a reason to want to choke to death.
Heat!

Poor sets.. thou the big families "aka ebayers" will be buying 10 copies claiming they have that many kids.

90p Lego with free toilet paper, result!

I'd be careful with that, the mail is known to cause irritation!

Shame its not morrisons, no smiths by me.

It's OK, the Mail isn't a newspaper.

Metro, Sun, Guardian they're all crap.

Thanks OP

Do people still buy The S*N?

Free toilet paper with a purchase of a Lego toy, sounds like a good deal to me!

Disco

Look in the bin at any railway station and you get the paper (and coupon) free. If you go into any WH Smiths after the promotion ends and speak to the managee, you can sometimes get them for nothing. I had over 100 polybags from the Reading branch for nothing a couple of years ago!

True though many people do have more than 1 child in the family not to mention the afols and people that can't get to store pickup! So yes the 1 per person limit does cause arguments! It's them that buy entire box fulls that are the problem... sure its Lego staff as would love to know how some sellers manage to flog 100+ of these "1 per person" sets same as when Lego do promos they limit houses to 1 though I'v seen plenty of sellers with 50+ Darth Revans despite how extremely rare that set was meant to be... There the problem causers not the genuine ones who do actually want 1 of each for several family members and the only way then is eBay

Shame there is no girls lego option. My daughter plays with the stuff for hours.

ALL lego is girls' lego just as much as boys'. I hate the pinkification of stuff. "lets make a pink one for the girls", seriously why?

Remember that the Mail is also free if you have a myWaitrose card when you spend £10 or more. If using scan and shop it includes the price of the paper and free coffee in the £10 spend (so you need to spend about £7 on other stuff each day for it to be free.

THIS^^^^
But only if you need some shopping. When Waitrose have their half price event it really does pay to do a shop there, with 'picks' you can save 70% on lots of items...
otherwise, however, be VERY selective with what you buy or you may find you could just simply have 'bought' the Wail in another supermarket and still have saved more than you will in Waitrose. Some of their prices are just bloody stupid (HIGH!), but there's plenty in there at other s/market prices.
As for worrying about buying the Wail, have you seen the cover price of the Graniaud! F. me, no wonder they are on about the Graniaud ceasing production in the near future - lefty liberal crap at a high price. At least you can laugh at the Wail.

The 'Diversity Brigade'. They're everywhere today. F. morons!

Nothing wrong with girls liking pink. Many do, of course.

It's being told they can ONLY like pink is the problem.

If it was 20 years ago you'd be correct. I was a very poor student in the early days and I often got half-consumed items out of the bin. 20 years (and 3 wives) later, I'm now happily retired and do what I want to do every day, even including fleecing LEGO buyers when sets become rare!

If you look at what Lego did "for girls" it's not just that they made it all pink. That I could accept if not condone. (they've diversified more recently to other pastel shades BTW :D)

They changed the size of the figures

Lego Friends and Lego Elves characters are literally head and shoulders above regular Lego. I could argue that this creates a body image issue because while they're taller they're still the same width, but it's more about their heads, bodies and legs not being regular-lego-compatible and their environments being built for that taller size. Which is a bit of a problem when Thor, Iron Man and the Penguin come to say at the Elves tree house.

On the upside, it means that I get to keep my Iron Man and Thor. Daddy needs his lego too!

And full credit to my daughters, they will love that X-Wing and Ninjago dragon.
