Hi everyone,

I recently had a look at my Virgin Mobile account to see if I was getting the best deal available. Did the usual of phoning up etc. Not much luck - however..

I went to the manage add-one section I was able to add a free (£0.00) lifetime triple data add-on.

This seems to combine with your usual data allowance to roll over. e.g. I had a 20GB package tripled to 60GB + 20GB roll over. So I now have (up to) 80GB of data per month, on a one month rolling contract.

Its its worth having a check at least, it might work for some of you and is pretty much zero effort.

Good luck!

Im with virgin and nothing in my app, good luck to anybody that gets this deal.
Dont bother have virgin 4g is so bad its worse that 3g on 02
Not showing via PC/desktop for our accounts
4G is good if on it, I’m travelling a lot and having long talks and the quality of the calls are tragic. It cut me off every time while changing the transmitter or when loosing 4G. Avoid if you travel and make lots of business calls
Op you are reading it wrong this is how it works, it shows your lifetime data there thats all, what you can see as your total data is your initial roll over of data, it happens on all of the roll over accounts well the 4 sims we have and 2 friends have. Its the way they bill you so your first month actually rolls over as soon as you get it or it rolls over the day after. Hence your 20GB package tripled to 60GB + 20GB roll over so you have 80GB in total.

Either way we have the £10 20GB package with double data this one starts off on the first month as 60GB and if you dont use it it goes to 60 next month. We also have there 1GB sims and 5 times data, as soon as we got the sim it had 6GB and since we dont use 1GB each month we have 6GB the following month.

Oh and lifetime means nothing to these muppets, our 1GB sims went up from £4 to £6 last year and this year one went up to £13 only one as they no longer offered that tariff even though 2 of our sims didnt change!

Mobile network coverage depends on where you live and travel around

What I am trying to say is just because you have poor coverage it does not mean somebody else will

Conclusion:
Do your homework no point signing up for a deal if you can't get network coverage

Going online and checking network coverage map is not enough that is not accurate

Generally you'll know in your locality what network people are on

Maybe getting a free pay as you go sim to test the networks out

Go online read reviews about different networks and bands they are using etc etc etc
