Heat. I've taken up a few of Commsupport's courses now and really like the format. They're as interactive as you want them to be and you're not obliged to buy the recordings/materials, which is good if you decide a course isn't for you after the first few sessions.

done the CCNA Security

and although not the greatest, its worth doing the courses alongside your own studying.

I'm more a network guy, but wanting to use excel to more than basic use to get the benefit of how it handles data, as I regularly import CSV content and want to break down into other cells etc..

so I've also applied to do this course.

heat added

But better than having to pay big money for a course right? I was on the same course and found it good for me,

Yes, better than having to pay, though I still do to private studying, and when the Cisco courses come up again, I'd apply again too.

Would have been great if Joe had been teaching it, he was doing the ASA Bootcamp this evening, good to have him back on-line, it's like he pours the info into our brains ;-)

Great!! I am on this ..Need to brush up on my excel .

Hopefully it's not like the MTA course where the instructor couldn't keep on one topic for more than 30 seconds, with the connection not working half the time it was eventually cancelled after being messed around for weeks. Can't complain for free, still heat anyway, but just a heads up.

lol maybe, it would make sense as the connection issues happened for whole sessions but not at all in others.
He was a nice bloke, but I couldn't follow any of what he was saying, just a total mess of information. and I'm already above MTA standard.

My experience was exactly the same, I just thought it would be nice to brush up and qualify some of my knowledge with a cert. The instructor was very enthusiastic and was probably very technically adept (though I did notice he got more than a few definitions wrong - e.g. "RAID-6 is like RAID-5 but the parity isn't striped"), but teaching is a skill in and of itself and it seemed like he struggled to stay focused. Perhaps we've just had the bar set too high by Joe, who I believe teaches as his day job. (_;)

This was the first course I tried with them, I look forward to learning from the well renowned Joe.

The wife signed up for the Prince II and found it boring. Hope they have better instructors this time.

As much as I admire the effort put in by the instructor, I find simulations more helpful, certainly they are more interactive. They give you specific examples where you do the clicking, usually with relevant text and speech commentary. I also found the MTA hard to follow, maybe too much name dropping of things yet to be taught or defined.

Do they supply coffee & biscuits during the break ?

Thank you for registering for "Microsoft Excel".

Pre-order your Excel session recordings and Excel exercise templates now before the course starts, right now at a special intro price of £30, the instructor has put together a whole range of indispensible excel templates which are worth along with his instruction nearly £1000, why so why are we doing it so cheap, well why not!!! Get them now before we come to our sense and hoof the price up!!!

It is not FREE as this email suggests!!

It's free to attend, purchasing the recordings and materials is entirely optional. This has been the case for all the Commsupport training courses.

Free to attend and participate. The course is free, you are not required to purchase anything, if you do not like the course, or your wife finds the instructor boring or maybe it is not for then you simply log out and that's it what have you lost?

This is a great service they are providing to us, we ought to be grateful that they are doing this, we ought to be supporting them so they can run more courses. This can only benefit us all. Sure some courses will be a little dry and some may not go 100% due to technical issues but all the courses i have attended on-line with them have been very good more so if Joe is teaching them. (Sorry to go on about Joe, but i owe him for the private BGP lessons he gave me that landed me my job)

For anyone who doesn't want to purchase the recordings or don't have time to attend then I suggest excelexposure.com/ . Free brilliant video lessons from Basic to Advanced. A lot of effort has been put into it and I highly recommend it.

Free Deal! Heat Added!
