As most people are finding out, these are disgusting quality, not printed on the 'luxury' cream paper and missing the address.
When complaining it will probably serve you best to call the Telegraph direct - 020 7931 2000 option 2. This way they will know how they have let people down in their thousands. The lady said to me 'this is obviously not what we paid them for' .
IMHO they got overwhelmed and just rattled out cheap photocopies.

That's what I thought at first, but then read that it will 'cover an area of approximately 56 square miles centred around the postcode.'
You can even send it back if you don't like it, can't say fairer than that.

When you put your postcode in your browser auto-fill probably put it in there.
Calm down.

For £2.99 I'm sure I will be pleased.

Thanks!

The other poster was right, this site DOES know your landline phone number. Mine auto-completed although I've never entered my landline phone-number into this browser (different machine, I don't use the landline, cleared form data, etc). The phone number is old though (we changed last year). I assume it's census information or government related.

Thank you , just ordered

great find, thanks OP
(PS. didn't fill in my phone number and I have had the same number and address for 11 years)

Glad so many people like it!

I went for it, hopefully a nice gift for a friend's birthday, anyone know how long it takes to arrive?

Is there any way to preview the map? I know for certain the postcode for my parent's house (when entered into the OS website) is about 1 mile off centre due to the rural area.

It covers 56 sq miles around your postcode so should be ok.

Brilliant. Have ordered two, one for our home address and one for the school I work at. Sure they'll find a use for it.

That OP Heat added!

Ordered one for me and one for folks
Bargain at that price.

"Any delivery charges incurred by us or by you are non-refundable."

So it will cost you to return it and you won't get anything back as the £2.99 is a delivery charge.

I didn't say they would refund postage. The refund applies if you bought a framed version.

Nice one.

Friend has an old map from the early 1900's and my street is on that (my flat was built around 1900) so it'll be interesting to see what was there back in 1805!

(PS .... no landline number came up for me.)

For those of you who want an idea of what the map will look like - you can enter your postal code on this site old-maps.co.uk/map…y=1 and there are a range of maps for you to be able to browse for free - you can also buy from this company but at a slightly higher (!!!!!!!!) cost.

Thanks OP

Not sure if any of the maps go back to 1805 though!

Oooh, sorry I spoke, I have actually ordered one, was just pointing out to people that the return might not be all they think it is.
Once again, sorry. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn219/jumpingphil/RollEyes.gif

Just a thought, it's not your own personal offer is it?

Ordered one for a stocking filler. Something a bit different! Thank you!

I thought the complain bit was a bit strong, sorry - I edited it.
As for owning the Telegraph, yes you caught me red handed there.

Ordered 2, looks interesting.

It's a shame it's only A3 although I've still ordered.

Good idea, but as Ellie Phant says, going to be an awful lot of fields and farmland. Just shows how built up we are these days.
