Mcdonalds will be giving away a Mario toy ( 8 to collect) with Happy Meals from 19th March. Would imagine these will be a must for any Nintendo / Mario fan.

not really a deal. happy meals with free toys have been around since cavemen walked the earth. its good you have made people aware its mario tho.

but belongs in Misc for me

Won't mind Donkey Kong though.

Does anyone know how much they charge for the toys?

It doesn't say how much on McD's site just that you can purchase them separately.

How long does the promotion run for? As trying to get the whole set would be ideal.

It used to be 99p. I don't know if this has changed recently.

it says expires next to title, think it works out at 29th April

Wonder if they will let a grown man ask to swap out a toy because I got that one last time

That'll be twenty odd quid that I'll never see again.

If paying £20 for a blue plastic shell is a deal (Mario Kart 8 ) i'm sure £2.59 for a plastic mario figure is a bargain

My son loves mario. Do they change the toy each week?

The promo runs for 6 weeks so i imagine they will either release all at once or maybe 2 each week. Either way you can just ask them to swap the the toy if it's a duplicate.

back in the day they use to do 1 a week

no idea how it works now

also, why they have done 2 basic luigi figures i dont know

so many other characters missed

thanks ampdewd & AdoEvo I'd never eat the food so would much rather just buy the toys lol

I would not feed a dog with those chicken nuggets as too many chemicals including silicone

It's only 1 Luigi & no princess in the uk (sorry only image i could find was for the euro promo) . The UK figures are Mario, Luigi, Toad, Donkey Kong and a Super Mushroom power-up. There are also four interactive toys -- Mario’s Hovering Coin, Donkey Kong Barrel Projector, a Super Sound Mushroom and Mario’s Warp Pipe Embosser.

I wanted the princess

Ha ha you're funny, always best to think what you read on the internet is true, but you're probably a sandal wearing vegan so enjoy your carrots

Where in the UK is a Happy Meal £2.59?! Here up North they're £1.99.

looks good to me, heat added

Do people really feed this junk to their kids? oO

£2.59 in Wales

In my experience they only offer 1 toy at a time, no swaps and they start offering the next as soon as stocks run out of the previous one

Just say it's for your kid, they're not employed there for their detective skills (_;)

Not in the UK

It beats me why toys in high sugar breakfast cereal were (I think voluntarily under some government pressure) long ago done away with, but McDonalds happily continues to shovel money through the tills with their toy-incentivised Happy Meals (granted, you now have effectively a fruit squash and fruit portion options as part of the Happy Meal, but I'm still not sure it is healthy enough to directly market at the children through toys). It says something about the state of the UK when we can learn a lesson from Chile in that respect.

because the toys where taken out of cereal on the bases of them being a choking hazard. If you don't like it don't buy happy meals or kinder eggs etc. I say to you as the kids from south park once said why do we have to suffer because some stupid kid blew his hand off (that was about fireworks getting banned but the sentiment is the same).

which is strange because eventually they changed it to where the toy was in a good sized bag

The toys were often the tastiest part.

Ahhhhhh, 70's/80's cereal. Was like TV, only came in 3 or 4 flavours ....

all i got in my happy meal was a stupid lego movie cup

or a disk thing that attacked to your bike wheel
