Pick up today’s metro newspaper on and on page 3 there is a voucher for a free flat white from McDonald’s valid today and tomorrow - over 16’s only though 🤔

Yes, Nero quality...

Better than any big name coffee shop imo

Are McCafe coffees decent quality?

McDonald's coffee is nicer than Starbucks, Nero or Costa.
Put code 83164909 into the voucher section on the machine screens. Done twice today and not been asked for the paper....

voted hot... not worth paying full price though as you get half a cup for the same taste latte... doesn't feel any stronger as they claim.
These are much nicer but way too small. Hot for a free drink tho

Just spotted this, any good? Tried the coconut milk latte at Costa but that was meh, I like Waitrose coffee, however it's highly variable based on who's working

Anybody else been hacking the menu like myself over last few years by getting a large latte and just getting a shot of espresso on top.

Also I do like a McFlurry with an added espresso . Voila affogato

I can’t stand Maccy D’s coffee normally, but their flat white is (IMHO)quite good.
They changed contents of page 3? o.0

Thanks, two things I rarely do...pick up the Metro or go to McD.

A free flat white might just defrost me tomorrow morning, although the size of the voucher might act as a blanket.
Flat White has double espresso in compared to the Latte’s single

when redeeming this, you’ll also receive another voucher for another free coffee (assuming they’re handling your Metro voucher correctly). See below image

The offer will also be in Wednesdays Metro too (28th)

Living like a king for a day.
Cold live in cornwall and no metro paper
It’s a double shot of espresso rather than one. It is stronger but you can add a shot into a latte for 79p
Cant handle coffee
The metro E-edition is here e-edition.metro.co.uk/hom…tml for anyone not in London (requires sign-up). Terms say photocopies and scans will not be accepted, but as this is a direct print it is technically within the rules.
McDonald's coffee is a similar level to the big chains; Nero, Starbucks etc. So pretty rubbish, but at least it's much cheaper.
Got last week and it tastes like their latte with less milk - pretty much as they describe in the TV advert.
They gave me in a standard (and therefore half empty cup) - kinda felt like they forgot half my drink.

Would choose the latte over this but not bad coffee for free!

The most recent edition from your link is from 2013
In the advert it is described as a stronger latte (milky coffee) but with less milk... so a white coffee then? Annoying gimmicky names
I have been enjoying flat white's for years but only recently seen a marketing surge. It has always been a smaller volume drink, e.g. Costa only do one size.

Essentially, espresso based with microfoam (steamed milk with small, fine bubbles)

TLDR:

Milk is frothed as it would be for a Cappuccino but held back to around 20 mm/1 inch of microfoam, creating a meniscus. Key to the beverage is the crema being coaxed into the meniscus resulting in a uniform dark brown colour across the top of the beverage. Allowing the beverage to stand before drinking enhances the experience as the meniscus thickens and adds texture to each sip, resulting in distinct sip rings/tide marks as the beverage is consumed.

To be fair, using that logic there is only black coffee or white coffee.

They have metro papers in the McDonald's near me
