Is this on Sky?

you just saw this while watching the cricket didnt you!

If you have Sky HD then presumably you are paying for it......ergo paying for this. So it's not free.

Cold.

It's a separate paid subscription under movies isn't it? So it's free for the weekend...just because you buy a train ticket from london to birmingham doesnt mean you can ride it to manchester even if the train ends there!

have you seen whats on?

its pants!!!

its either a rocky movie or a old a sinatra or eastwood film on a loop

That's a useless argument.

It's free what did you expect Inception?

Rocky / Eastwood films are classics.

If you don't like the deal, I would argue you to not vote cold as it may appeal to others.
Thanks.

I listed this as a duplicate post. Whoops.

A couple of points:

26 films

Free to anyone with a Sky HD box. NO SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED. That seems pretty free to me. If you don't have a TV, does that mean ITV isn't free?!

its either a rocky movie or a old a sinatra or eastwood film on a loop

What do you expect, another Sky Movies clone? These are classics! Not every film made before 2000 is rubbish you know. Also, I can't see a single film with Sinatra or Eastwood or any of the Rocky films in the schedule!

I have a sky HD box, never paid a penny for HD though. Had it free for the first year, now I just don't get most of the HD channels as I refuse to pay again to watch a slightly shinier version of whats on another channel already. Therefore I can get this deal for free, so hot.

Hot from me! I've always wanted to watch Dead Man Walking and haven't managed to as of yet so even though it's just for that it's hot from me!

Classic = crap

Will it be a repeat of when on of the Sky HD movie channels was free for a weekend? Because if you recorded any of the films, you had to watch them before the weekend was over or they vanished off your box!

I don't understand what everyone is moaning about.. there's lots of good films included in this:
The number in brackets are the imdb ratings. The scores speak for themselves

A Bridge Too Far (7.3)
Manhattan (8.1) (in the top 250 list)
The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3 (7.7) (much better than the recent remake imho)
Blow Out (7.2)
The Falcon and the Snowman (6.7)
The Vikings (7.0)

and

Red Dawn (5.9) (good mindless fun (and about to hit the big screen again in a remake))

trickz, I'd love to hear what you think is a good movie - Police Academy: Mission to Moscow? Meet the Spartans? Epic Movie?

Trickz you're right. I much prefer the new films. Hollywood is truly in a golden age.

Saw XXVI, and Fast and the Furious 80 are cinematic behemoths compared to that crap they used to make. I mean, who wants to see acting and character development when you can watch Jason Statham driving a car.
