Toucan are offering existing customers a sim only mobile deal giving you 100 muinutes or texts for free - NO STRINGS ATTACHED!!!.

The is an amazing deal for low volume phone users. You also get unlimited land line calls for free with any mobile deal saving another potential £8 for existing customers.

I also rang up customer services and complained that Talk Talk were offering a better deal. They gave me Line Rental, Broadband and unlimited land line calls for £18.

I bet that if you signed up for the full package, they would throw this deal as an incentive.

Toucan offers an excellent service and you can track everything with their online services.

Never heard of toucan

I'm a Toucan customer on their phone/internet package.

So what are you saying, you just call them and they send you a sim card pre-loaded with 100 minutes and texts for no reason just because you're a customer?

Or, as I suspect. Is this some way of locking you into another 12 month contract with them? Can you be more specific?

Who is toucan???? This is clearly something you don't want to buy!!!!!

Yes - the deal came direct from Toucan via email. If you ring up they are not going to refuse any customer the same deal. Just quote what a friend has been offered and say you want the same or you will leave.

They will soon come around to your way of thinking. Its a win win deal. They make money if you go over your 100 freebies and you get the free calls. Lets face it, they make money out of you if you get the deal or not. Plus its an incentive to stay with the service when talk talk are offering a cheaper full package deal

what is this hahahahahahahaha

A friend has Toucan and the internet access is not good. It doesn't seem to be able to cope at busy times with the DNS servers failing regularly. He lost all ADSL this week, phoned the NATIONAL RATE tech support who told him that there were some upgrades going on and it would be back in a week or so!!!! Its cheap(ish) though!!!

I've been a Toucan customer for few months (ADSL and CPS) and I'm quite happy. Can't comment about their DNS servers as I use opendns.com/ to be ISP-independent and to avoid re-configuring all my PCs when/if I change ISP.

I signed-up through Quidco and received £40 and Toucan gave me another £10 incentive so financial-wise I can't complain ;-)

During the last few months, the service hasn't been down for even one second. They even gave me free evening calls for six months when I called them to upgrade ADSL speed.

Not really bothered about the mobile offer though, I got many inclusive minutes from Orange.
