Free month for Setanta Sports with a purchase @ JJB

JJB have a deal where you buy a replica football shirt and you receive one months free viewing on subscription to Setanta Sports (Which costs £10). When I rang up to get this deal I was not asked to produce any evidence that I actually bought the shirt. When you subscribe just mention that you bought a shirt from JJB and the offer (even if you didn't buy a shirt) and you should receive your first month free !!
With Setanta it is not an annual contract so you can end it any month. I would suggest calling 08712 00 37 60 to get the offer not online.

Hi it shouldn't tie you in for 12 months, they advertise the fact that it is a month by month contract. I just paid the £10 connection fee and then pay £10 per month (excluding the first month which is free). I would call them up again arguing the fact it is not an annual contract.

The offer is available to residential customers on freeview and satellite, but the £10 connection fee does apply, so I don't know how Paul870 got away with it. It doesn't mention Virgin Cutomers, Sorry !

I just tried, was told that the £10 connection fee does apply, and that you must keep it for at least 2 months, i.e. you get the first month free and you pay for the second month. You've got to give 30 days notice to cancel and you can't cancel within the first month.

I think this is only worthwhile if you're an existing customer, otherwise you have to pay £20 for 2 months anyway.
