Most people will be familiar with the gym offer with PruHealth but what isn't widely advertised is the additional Mountain Bike offer:-
PruHealth helps you look after your health and rewards you for doing so. That's why if you join PruHealth before 30th August 2007 we'll give you and everyone on the policy aged over 12 a free mountain bike - worth £125 per person.
PLUS cheap gym membership
PLUS £115 cashback via Quidco
This is my first post so hope I got it right

Why is it voted cold?
Does it work with free gym membership?

i don't understand this cold vote as well. strange

£47.89 per month for 'core' cover. That's why I voted it cold.
You could buy the bike for the price of three months cover, or two months comprehensive!

Hello justbrowsing, welcome to the forums Sorry for the cold votes with no explanation, but I think it's probably something along the lines of what scribbles has posted above.

I think its a decent deal!

I've just quoted myself:

£18.95/month = £227.4/year
Core Plan
Hospitals outside London
Excess of £500
Non smoker/no high blood pressure/no high cholesterol/regular excercise

So after £115 quidco its only £112.4 a year. I can add £20 to get London hospitals too or no excess amounts.

Don't forget that you get Health Insurance AND a bike for that price. A bike + accessories will set you back £90-100 at least, so its basically like free insurance.

Voted cold due zero mention of what you need to buy in the title.

Well, that's easily remedied now, isn't it?

How do you get the bike? Do you contact them again after you've joined or do they send it automatically? If so has anyone received one yet?

I'm planning to sign up with Pru for the gym, i bought a bike recently just for the travel - could have saved myself some money :giggle: But could do with an extra bike :-D

T&Cs say:

Bikes will be issued within 30 days after activation of the policy. … Bikes will be issued within 30 days after activation of the policy. Activation must be within 3 months of applying for the policy.

Good spot, off to get a quote now.

How'd you get £18.95/month? Maybe you're a bit younger than me, about 21?

Also, if adding a partner probably best to do it seperately? Still get two bikes but also two lots of quidco! Price for cover seems to be about double anyway.

Watch out for all the e-mails to start hitting you, you get one for every combination you try, even just looking to see what difference your age would make to the cost!

Did you remedy it for me? I don't quite understand why it hasn't reached hot either. Do I need to do anything else?

Scribbles. Thanks for voting my very first post cold. I think most people would struggle to get Virgin gym membership alone for the cost of the insurance premium. Lets hope it heats up!

Yes, I believe it does work with free gym membership
