Free movie rental and other offers... from Google Play

Do you have a Chromecast or an Android TV device? Then open up Chrome on your desktop, make sure that you've got the Chromecast extension installed, go to this website, click "redeem all offers," then click the Google Play offer in the upper-left corner. You'll get a free movie rental voucher on your account, which can be applied when you checkout any movie on the Play Store. HD movies are valid as well. Even though the freebie is specifically to promote the Chromecast's second birthday, connecting to an Android TV box will get you the credit too.

Android Police is a US site but the promotion has just worked ok for both of my Chromecasts so I will be watching Kingsman HD tonight...

Just to add this offer is due to the Chromecast being released for two years.

Is this a brand new one or the same one that was initiated a month or so ago?

It said it's already been redeemed when I tried so I think it's the same offer from before.

I've redeemed similar offers before and was allowed to redeem this one as well so I assume it is new... give it a try, if it works vote hot if not no problem

Nope, didn't work for me - says already redeemed. I wish redeemed offers would not stay on chromecast offers panel after they've been used - can be very confusing.

Doesn't work for me..(The code you entered has already been redeemed.)

Did you all claim the one last month or whenever it was? I didn't so maybe the offer is continuing on from before or there is a time limit. I have two chromecasts and both have allowed free rentals.

Worked for me - thanks op.

Everyone should definitely hold your opinion in higher regard than 679,000 voters on Imdb. They can't be right can they?

And why not?

Yeah it seems between my friends opinion is split.... some think it is an awesome film, I guess you do too.

It looks like this offer is the same one from a couple of months back as I've used that up and it tells me this offer has been redeemed when I go to use it again, like someone mentioned earlier I wish that they would remove an offer once you've used it

No luck here

not a new offer!!

does anybody know how long this offer will last for?

I get "An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later". I'm sure the one I redeemed a few weeks ago had to be used within a year whereas this is by the end of December. Are they the same offer of different?

It was awful. An epic space adventure ruined by overly sentimental melodrama. The bits on earth were excruciating

OP thanks worked for me had a free movie stacked already but once I purchased a movie got another free rental. you have 30 days to watch the rental.

Cool

Only Google Play offer available now is "Get 90 days of unlimited music FREE from Google Play"

163,000 user ratings on Rotten Tomatoes giving it 85% too. (_;) A bit too cerebral, slow paced and overly long for a minority though so one man's meat...etc
