This is my first post, so I've tried to make it a good-'un.

Nestlé is running their GetSetGoFree promo again this year (it would have been crazy not to, given the Olympic tie-in).

If you are not familiar, check last year's post on HUKD for details of what it is and how it works:

And the GetSetGoFree website, where you have to register:

getsetgofree.com

This year, if you look for special offers at the big supermarkets, you can get even more points for your pound. Last year the best deal was 25 for £1, this year, it's 30 for £1. This fits the point requirements for activities better than the 2011 promotion, meaning you may not have to have any spare points left over.

You also have a choice of at least four different chocolate bars if you want the best price to points ratio, rather than just Kit-Kats, which were last year's best investment option (I bought 120 of them, most of which I ate myself within two months, so I really didn't want to look at another Kit-Kat for ages).

There are of course, lots of Nestle products in the promotion for which you can get points (check the GSGF website), but if you are mainly interested in the activities (rather than Nestlé products), the best deals are as follows. Each of these will give you 30 points for £1 (packs usually cost more, but currently they are all on offer at my local Asda for £1 per pack, and similar deals are available at regular intervals from other big retailers - try Tesco, Sainsbury, Morrisons, etc.).

Blue Riband 8-pack, 30 points
Drifter 8-pack, 30 points
Breakaway 8-pack, 30 points
Toffee crisp 7-pack, 30 points

You may see other products with the promotion at an equivalent points-per-pound ratio, but these were the best I could find (see GSGF website for a list of most of the products - not all are listed there, e.g. Drifter).

The big benefit of the three packs above, is that the offer code is inside the outer packing, so you don't have to open individual product wrappers to redeem them.

If you get this just for the activities you can look on the chocky bars as a bonus.

If you have points remaining from last year, you may be able to redeem them for use this year, too - details on the GetSetGoFree website.

Disclaimer: Eating lots of chocky bars at once can lead to health problems (allegedly). If you suffer health problems as a result of eating too many left-over chocky bars at once, don't blame me.

Nice post well done

Used these last summer after a Chunky Kit Kat deal.

Think we are now down to the last few kit kat bars in the house oO

Got to go swimming in a local Spa pool heaps of times with the kids with the vouchers.

Hot

Thanks op for this post, you reminded me i signed up last year but didnt use the points. Just checked now and i can use them X)

last years points expire end of august this year

we have been to sooooo many activities with the kids, excellent promo......

gotta love the irony of buy loads of fatty foods...so you can do some excercise

Why is this expired?! I was the OP last year and took huge advantage of this - still even had some vouchers I didn't get round to using when the expiry date came round - and am planning to take advantage of this again this year in a big way!

Hope a mod can un-expire this deal and the OP can get the credit deserved for his legwork in finding and pointing out the best way to get the most points
