Free Next Day Delivery for 3 Months @ Amazon Family

Found 20th Dec 2013
I'm sure I posted this on here a while back but it seems it's not here anymore and since I saw some people panicking about getting items delivered in time for christmas I thought I would post again..

join amazon family and amongst other things you get a 3 month free prime next day delivery.

MAKE SURE TO TURN OFF AUTO RENEW in account settings so you don't get charged!
NOTE this is not the same as cancelling your membership - if you cancel you will loose all your benefits. You need to go into your account then prime and make sure you select the option to not auto renew. Please see Holly1985 helpful screen shots. Thanks Holly!

You don't need a kid...you can be a family member or even adopt a kid lol!...and can use again (new email!)

Note if you cancel your Family membership you will lose your eligibity for Prime delivery aswell!

If anyone has made any errors they will know from the date of the amazon prime settings where it will show one year - if it does contact customer care in live chat asap to sort that.

thanks sp3xz

how to turn off here

thanks jimmyboy for making it clear

Amazon Family free for 3 months
Free next day delivery with Amazon Family.

No one needs to cancel the membership just the auto renewal which is in your account under manage prime.

NOTE if you have had a trial before use a different email to get it again

The 12 month term stated on Amazon's website is incorrect.

To be clear, Amazon Family and Prime are different things. Joining Amazon Family gives you a free three months trial to Amazon Prime among other benefits of joining Amazon Family. Customer service differentiates them as Amazon Family Prime and Standard Prime.

"Why aren't I eligible for the free 3-month offer from Amazon Family?
Customers who have had an Amazon Prime membership or free trial in the past 12 months aren't eligible for the Amazon Family free trial of Amazon Prime. If you are not eligible for the free period, sign up for Amazon Prime today to receive all the benefits of Amazon Family and Amazon Prime for £49/year."

Just make a new Amazon account, I have 3, 2 of which I have already used the free prime trial on

I haven't looked at this but I had a free prime trial in November which ran out last week. I then went to order something this week and it offered me the free 1 month trial again so I clicked to use it and it accepted me :-)

Interesting, thanks OP

rubbish delivery service

Amazon customer service is outstanding, but 'free next day or the day after delivery' is more accurate.

Hubby only ordered twice and both weren't delivered the next day you've got it absolutely spot on

Thanks OP, joined. But how do you turn off auto renew?

Good post. Did this last year, whilst I wouldnt pay the £49 a year for it, 3 months free is great. Just unckick the auto renew as soon as youve set it up, that way you wont get caught out with a bill if you forget to cancel 3 months down the line. Ive used this quite a lot and 8/9 times out of 10 it'll be the next day. As a freebie it cant be bad. heat!

go to your account and somewhere in there will be prime settings click it open and you should see it.

I've had this for 9 months now, just register a new account (new email address) when the 3 months are up.

Nice one OP , just signed up. HEAT!

doesnt work? Just goes to the family homepage?

It depends what you're ordering and, more importantly, how urgently you need it.

Basically, bin bags *always* arrive the next day. A new TV, shiny gadget or urgent gift that you forgot to buy will always take 2-3 days.

I cant see auto renew, only do not renew which says it will stop all benefits now.

its pretty good to have amazon prime if you use amazon all the time. Only thing I hate I sometimes get my deliveries by yodel.

amazing

I'm surprised anyone pays for prime. Start with the 3 month trial. Cancel straight away TODAY. You will still have the benefits until March. However, once your membership has come to an end wait about TWO days. The option for a free 1 month trial will reappear during checkout. Sign up again for one month and them Cancel again. REPEAT as required. X) Hot OP. Thanks.

Good offer, shame the delivery company they use is utter rubbish, takes me longer to get my stuff than with normal delivery

Been using Amazon Prime for the past two years and out of about the 100 or so items I have ordered only two have failed to come next day (including Saturday deliveries) from all their different delivery companies and the two times it didnt arrive next day I told Amazon and my Prime was extended by a month on each occasion.

Its the same with any retailer people have good and bad experiences, Amazon are a massive website themselves fulfilling hundreds of orders you can't expect everything to go right and alot of the time it's the actual delivery company that mess up, not Amazon.

My experience: Had 2 Prime trials and ordered quite a few bits and pieces cheap to expensive during the trials and always came next day with no issues

Just cancelled straight away and got this message:

Your membership will end on 20 Dec 2014
At that time you will lose your benefits, and your card will not be charged.

Free years worth of prime?

Edit: Cancelled Amazon family aswell, prime membership still in tact. Thanks OP
