Do they arrange transport home? They really should not be encouraging …Do they arrange transport home? They really should not be encouraging shoppers who are most likely driving to drink!

Blimey, how much drink do you think they are handing out and doesn’t a driver take responsibility for his intake? He isn’t forced to drink anything.

They advertise ahead of time. Should pubs also arrange lifts home for anyone popping in for a bar meal, when a McDonalds would do?

Probably nothing at Kingston as usual.

I think that would be deemed shoplifting
Seems to take me only to the main home page
Nothing on goody bag just take to John Lewis web page

Oh, was there nothing much last year ?
I'm going to the local westfield for this it looks like. How busy has it been in years past? I wouldn't mind a goody bag but I'm not turning up two hours early for one.

Been to past two in Kingston.

There was a band playing at the door and carol singers.Santa greeted you as you entered the doors.
Got glass of orange juice or proscecco and some mince pies (all from Waitrose of course!! ).
Were some lady singers on the top floor singing Xmas songs; at the end of the night there was a raffle draw.

Don't know woks gonna be like this year tho as not mystic Meg.

Can a 16+ year old teenager go by him/herself if that's allowed?

Or how about the government banning alcohol altogether? Alcoholism causes an increase in domestic abuse, costs to the nhs, risk of drink driving and exacerbates anyone's mental health issues if they choose to drink.

They've stamped down on tobacco, introduced the sugar tax, and even looking to put in laws for gambling adverts, yet nothing for alcohol. It's quite laughable that cannabis is a class B drug, which let's be honest is just as bad as alcohol. *Hint* Both cause one to become intoxicated.

Of course, they can't seem to tackle knife crime properly right now, God forbid they have to tackle down the most likely massive surge in black market alcohol.

Please don't tarnish all the people who drink with the same brush please.
I forgot about this.

I'm not, I'm sure plenty of people drink alcohol responsibly, but it does far more harm than good.
No wonder JLP profitability is going down the pan

Have you thought about moving to Saudi Arabia, alcohol free and virtually crime free.
Wow, what happened to a persons freedom to choose, last time I looked we have that concept in the UK. ......all things in moderation. Besides, prosecco is hardly high in alcohol.

There should be far work done to stop alcohol abuse, at least you'd agree on that? Cigarette packets have a picture of a person's lungs after decades of smoking, yet we see Van Damme talk about how Goddamn refreshing Coors light is on tv.

You could've said that after my first comment, you obviously felt the need to state your opinion and I felt the need to educate.

Big difference between educating and preaching.

Call me crazy but I took from that you wanted some sort factual evidence.
ta op! I go most years some waitrose branches are better than others.

It is mince pie sausage rolls and fizz at my local but all sorts in the London branches. worth a look if nearby. Can just turn up to my local as long as you have a card.
