To be eligible for a NUS extra card you need to be over 16 years old and in full or part time education.

can anyone confirm that you got the email after ordering? thanks

No confirmation for me either, just a PayPal email stating i "authorized" a payment

Edit: got confirmation

Edited by: "JimBobJr" 5th Nov 2016

Is it a free 1-year card, or can it be used as £12 off a 3-year card? Thanks.

The 5% student discount on Amazon has expired now.

The 5% student discount for Amazon has ended and not renewed. But you can still get 50% off the cost of prime.

You need a .org.uk email to get the student prime....nothing to do with NUS

I got the Prime student membership with an NUS Extra card. Just email a copy of it. Works fine

Just email a picture of your NUS card to [email protected]amazon.co.uk and they will send you a link to sign up without a .ac.uk email address.

read #9 the question is always asked on these nus threads

There's a reason less retailers are accepting NUS now and choosing UniDays...

If you don't plan on using the bundle on the SIM card you have around a 1 hour window to spend the £10 credit on the SIM card before the bundle is activated.

So a £5 PSN top up and 3 minute x-rated phone call for example haha.

Be aware, if you stick with the £10 bundle it expires after 30 days.

The Amazon 5% discount has ended which was the main reason I got one of these. Managed a grand total of 50p from it. I'm genuinely not happy with how much they plugged that discount during September without mentioning it expired at the end of October.

If the other discounts are useful then you can't go far wrong but I think Amazon was a big draw for people.

And you can get the 6 months free prime without NUS, either with an email or an enrollment form.

They now do 20% off Amazon Warehouse for Students.

I'm pretty gutted that the 5% off at Amazon has stopped. The card pretty much paid for itself over black Friday. You do get 10% off at the co-op though which is useful for me.

Saulll

Ring me. I'll talk dirty to you for 5 minutes if you send me a fiver.

Could you use this to renew an NUS Extra card? I have one already, but it will expire soon. Mainly use it for the 10% Co-op discount.
