FREE Odeon / Vue tickets for a year with Eon cinema bundle tariff.

Just seen this on Facebook so credit to them-
The ts and cs seem to be the usual gumph and don't reveal much about the actual cinema deal, but apparently it's 2 tickets a month for either Odeon or Vue.
It's got to be worth a comparison if you're due a switch?

Edit- my dual fuel bill is £69pm. I can get a deal from them, with the cinema tickets, for £69.53pm, or one without at £59.86. Actually not bad, as I'm not limited to seeing certain films on certain days, but, on balance, if nothing else, it's given me the kick to compare and switch. Verdict- if your fuel bill is comparatively low, it'll probably be worth it

Make sure you do a full usage comparison first. I suspect it's not the cheapest deal for most people even when you factor in the "free" cinema tickets

Sounds good but the monthly direct debit increase from the standard tariff pretty much covers the cost of the tickets anyway for us

Thanks op. Good option. Worth at least checking especially if u use cinema regular.

Free tickets? Eh, nothing is free. Someone is paying for it. Yes, those on expensive tariffs.

By which you mean everyone is paying. Cheap tariffs do not exist!

I just wish energy companies would stop the gimmicks and just give a good deal on energy prices. No cinema ticket deals, cuddly toys, dvds, free electricity on a Saturday morning etc. I use Ovo Energy who give me cheap prices and 3% interest when account in credit.

The 3% interest sounds like a gimmick too

Cold for me did a check on there web site and that tariff is a lot more expensive. So just check and compare there tariffs. Yes I am an e.on customer so I am not anti e.on

hope you are kidding

Just compared my existing fixed rate with Eon, this works out about £120 a year more expensive. However if you do go to the cinema every month then may save you a small amount. More of a gimmick however i think and i'd much prefer a lower tariff than a freebie with a more expensive tariff.

£290 a year more expensive, ouch! Thanks anyway op

I agree. EON and their contemporaries in the big six are blood-sucking stalwarts of the energy industry. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Go for an independent, British-based energy company that is not primarily concerned with fleecing their customer base and lining their shareholder's pockets.
