Downloaded and works a treat. Has a few bugs in places, and handling is a bit shoddy, but for a free game, it's pretty cool, especially the free online multiplayer modes!

Works now!
I used some troubleshoot option after right clicking so it changed its compatibility settings to windows xp (service pack 2) try this straight by right clicking going to properties>compatibility and clicking on the windows xp (service pack 2) option

So not for MACs then!

Free to play with money raised via a microtransaction model. If you want more than the basics you have to pay real money. Race all day for a chance at a necessary car part or buy them in the shop. That sort of payment model. So technically free but it's by EA and if you could play successfully free they wouldn't have created the game.

An alternative is Test Drive Unlimited 2. You have to buy the client but from playing in the beta onwards of Need For Speed World and reading reviews it's designed to require real money so you'd be paying anyway.

That's my experience anyway.

Great game been playing it for a few months now, they have ironed out some of the bugs and its a lot smoother.

Was free before, a long time before.
