Following the amazing event last year, we are back this year to have a bigger and better Street Iftar.

Last year over 2000 people attended and Jeremy Corbyn MP was one of many high profile speakers. This year we hope to have even more people attend as it is even more important.

2019 has already been a testing time for us globally with incidents in Christchurch, Sri Lanka and more recently in San Diego. It is important that in these moments we stand firm and together as a community!

Our Street Iftar gives us this opportunity to unite, within the month of Ramadan; a month of mercy. We can unite against deep-seated prejudice and bigotry by standing together and showing our collective strength.

Join us on Tuesday 21st May from 7.45pm at 7 St Thomas’s Road, N4 (outside of Finsbury Park Mosque).

Another superb iftaar post, let's get as many people as possible going, certainly have a good meal, maybe have a chat about food, life, the crap tube service, London traffic, difficulty getting good schools for the kids, and never getting parking anywhere and bond as humans!.

Wow.... you must impress your friends downs in South Thanet, but that won't work with any intelligent people, not one thing you said can be substantiated, or is believed by Muslims, perhaps you should go to a scholar and ask these questions, maybe you'll learn a few things and have to find something else to hate.

Islamaphobia is just another form of rascism that's well tolerated.

Open your eyes, a good chunk of this planets population is Muslim- across all races, if these things were true, then everybody would known that by now!.

Another EDL supporter on HUKD. If you actually read the source material instead of getting quotes of the UKIP playbook, you’ll understand what you’ve said is full of one-sided bigotry.

Please feel free to read the the Old Testament (followed by Jews and Christians) and you’ll hopefully come to realisation that the monotheistic religions aren’t that much different in terms of their teachings

I am just worried if these grand and generous events become targets.

Hope these events bring people together and not divide them

It won't do any good, people always try to disrupt people coming together for the common good, the goodness in humanity always prevails.
Excellent idea... I hope more of these events takes place elsewhere. We need to come together as one and we can't let the haters divide us.
Thanks OP, and anyone planning anything similar a few months ago one of my neighbours came round our street knocking the doors of neighbours he'd never talked to, giving us cakes he'd baked. It was great to make new friends and neighbours. We need more celebrations of life and community across the country and the world right now.
Absolutely fabulous idea

But we don't see any disruptions (of the sort you may be referring to) during the "common good" festivals of Diwali or Vaisakhi?

Nor do people see any disruptions for Ramadan either.

Nothing better to say?

This is called "ad hominem". Well done...
Peace and Love to one and all. This is what all religions teach us. Live in peace and have love and care for one another especially for those who are less privileged, be thankful for all the blessings.
Interesting
