Found 31st Jul 2008
Meant to post this on Monday, but all week The Times have been giving away a free Penguin (Celebration Range) book with each issue (usual cover price of 70p).

Thursday's free book: The Shadow of the Sun by Ryszard Kapuscinski
Friday's free book: The Beach

The books RRP is £7.99.

So far I have only seen the promotional editions within London, and in WHSmith, Tesco's or Sainsbury's.

God yeah, and like, then you have to read the book. And what is it with those newspapers? There's, like, a new one EVERY day.

I think you must be confusing Freebies with this Deal section.

The book's RRP is £7.99 so if you dont think a saving of 91% off the RRP is not good value, then stick to your picture books.

Todays free book is Empire: How Britain Made the Modern World by Niall Ferguson
yesterdays book was noam chomsky's hegemony or survival... I looked today but the offer seems to be over. when they say it will end on the 8th you wouldve expected a book out on the 8th at least!!!
I called up whsmiths and they do have the supplements... the english by jeremy paxman, average read not worth it.
