Tesco pet insurance doesn't cover your pet for life long illness, only the first 12 months, unless they've changed that in the last 2 years.
Unless your planning on paying £40 a month a lot of the pet insurance have removed the life long illness cover that was very common 2 years ago.

They finally caught on they are loosing money

If you get the Premium Insurance which is only a pound or so more per month it has not limit on the time of treatment.
Thanks OP, just signed up. We just had our renewal in from Tesco insurance for our cat. It was in my Mrs name, so we have cancelled and I have taken up this offer as a new customer. Get in!

Lots of places still do it and wont cost £40 a month, Halifax, PetPlan + MoreThan are 3 off the top of my head that still do
Did anyone buy the insurance in June when they had £50 tesco vouchers on offer? I can't seem to find MSE thread and havent received any vouchers
still no camcorder. boy this is drawn out
Purchased tesco pet insurance on 12th August 2011. And still NO Camcorder NOT even the voucher to enable you to receive one. I must have telephoned Tesco about a dozen times now, but at least I received a different excuse every time...............I think that Tesco must have shares in BT..LOL
Daisytoots48 Same problem got a letter though that said they had run out and would be posted 13th december. Grass Roots One Fee who run the promotion don't reply to email imcertainly not paying the 0844 number to phone them will post the free phone number when i find it.
i have yet to receive a camcorder and i also purchased the insurance in august, this is a disgrace.
false advertising. take pictures of me pup when she is no longer a pup. really angry customer.
just contacted tesco direct number pet insurance and they said that they had run out of camcorders. customers affected by this delay will receive information in coming week.

Have you heard anything yet, It has been over a week now. I got the letter before Christmas explaining that there was a delay due to high demand, but not heard anything since.

Anyone had any updates or do you have a phone number I could have? I too took out pet insurance at the beginning of Aug and still haven't received anything. Last correspondence was at beginning of Dec to say that they were low on stock but receiving another shipment on 13th Dec. Heard nothing since and I can't find the letter to phone them! Can anyone help? Thanks.
sorry folks only getting a chance to reply. i have not had one bit of correspondence since the 16th january. this is a disgrace and i wonder what grounds we would have to seek advice (Citizens Advice Bureau) that we have been missold a product and to be refunded back for the monthly payments we have made.
0845 078 3878 is the number i use and ask to speak to pet insurance department. going to try again now and complain further.
just rung them again there now and basically it is nothing to do with them. its not them running the promotion its some company called grass roots. telephone number: 08443574855 is the number they gave me to ring and check status of camcorder.

any more info available i will post.
after speaking to someone else now, my application was only received apparently on the 19th November and that they had been working through a backload. it is not marked as being dispatched last friday and should receive it shortly. if it is not received by the 10th Feb 2012 I must call them back to see why this hasnt been delivered.

thats how it stands at the moment folks, maybe expect something this week. not build our hopes up anyways.

I have had the same problems, this has been going on since October and they told me at the start of Jan that mine should be with the next batch on 26th Jan.....still nothing!

the number to call is 01442 829400
just phoned the number and was told that mine was being shipped out by Friday & should be with me by next Friday.

All done with only my postcode. Only after confirming shipment did they ask my full address & they still did not ask my name.
folks just a wee update. received my camcorder yesterday in the post. great we device for free but suppose i have paid for it in the long run waiting for it for so long.
well to my amazement a package was delivered on Thursday and to my shock the camcorder was delivered.

Only problem now is I can't find where I put the memory card, but never mind can't win everything.

re camcorder...took out policy in august.. still no camcorder.. just stupid lies and more lies just spoke to someone called tim hann direct dial 08450783895 .. ofered me a £20 voucher for the memory card and a £20 gift voucher for my inconvience... GREAT .... declined offer if things r that bad mr TESCO POKE IT.... DOG NO LONGER A PUPPY MEMORIES MISSED
I used the number 01442 829400 as previuosly mentioned
just reading some of the posts im in the same boat as you lot ive been on phone to grass roots for over half hour now listening to there automated message it keeps saying im in que postiton one! but still waitng we were hoping to give this as a gift to our daughter got a letter from grass roots saying we should get one by 10th march which is good considering our daughter is going to france before then so it looks like we wont get to share her experiences this company thats running the promo should have made sure they had enough stock to deal with this they have offered a free 4gb memory card with the camcorder but hey we bought one when we redemed the voucher code.
Finally got mine, but guess what? It doesnt work! Great now to go through the hassle of sending the damn thing back.
I took out the insurance way back last year and am still waiting for the camcorder that was supposed to be coming in December, they just keep writing and saying it's been delayed!
If it's any consolation to all you people out there, my wife and I obtained a quote for life insurance back in July 2011 and subsequently purchased a policy soon after. Neither of us had seen anything about an offer of a free camcorder so when a brand new Polaroid HD digital camcorder arrived by recorded delivery on Saturday morning, we were obviously delighted. Thanks TESCO!!
Similar experience myself, so to my surprise and delight I returned home from work today to find a letter containing a cheque for £90 as they have run out of camcorders! Doubt it was worth that much and probably would've sold on as I already have a Kodak one.
