Got an email today from virgin media offering a free powerline adapter.

Looks like the email may be sent to selected users only ... I.e. if you don't get an email you may not be able to claim.

Gutted that you can’t watch stuff recorded on one box, on your other one? Well, now you can. We’re giving away free Powerline kits that link up your V6 and TiVo® boxes. You can even pause what you’re watching and pick it up elsewhere. No catch. No extra cost. You've got until 23rd of November to claim your offer.

Doesn't work here either - claims i'm entering incorrect details.
Passed this to my family who get VM in their area. Might be able to blag their way in.
Thanks for posting.

What is the SiteID field on the form?

Is it ‘Area reference’ on my bill?

Yes, it is.
I got an email from virgin media... when I clicked on the link it automatically filled in the details. I think the site id was the area reference code.
Your details below appear to be incorrect. Please check them and try again.

Presumably you need to have more than one TiVo box to be eligible. I only have one and didn't get the email, my boss has 2 and did get it.
Always gives me this message despite having entered correct and valid details against their form validation:

Anyone able to successfully submit the form - any tips?

EDIT: ah the small print says: Free Powerline kit: Offer available to the named recipient of the offer email only

Please update your post.

I'm a lucky account. Wouldn't have checked my email so thanks to the Op
Well well well. Typical VM. Their superhub 3 is rubbish. I was told my others on HUKD to ask to get a kit for free as some did.

When I phoned a while back, I was told, we'll charge you or buy your own.

I think it should be for internet only customers too, maybe past a specific speed package?

I have two V6 and it doesn't work
same here claims i'm entering incorrect details. liverpool
Incorrect details
SCORCHING! - but it dont work
It’s believe it’s if you have a TiVo and a V6 box. Your site ID is your area code found under your account number on the my account page
Doesn't work on the form but tempted to go on the phone or chat and see if I can haggle a set for free. Been with Virgin for close to twenty years now so doesn't seem a great deal to ask for all that loyal custom.

Anyone had any luck just asking them for it?

My request just went through without a glitch? And I didn’t receive the email. Just logged onto the VM site. Thanks OP voted hot

You did better than me! I got put through to the faults department, who insisted that there was a delivery charge of £5 and a ongoing charge of £3pm for a powerline adaptor! Seriously who rents a powerline adaptor They start at £20 to just buy outright.

I'll try again tomorrow...
This will only be for customers with two v6s which have both on wifi

Technically is, and those with a V6 and older Tivo. However, my argument is that it should be for anyone with VM internet as their Superhub series of routers have never been known for great wifi. The 2 and 3 were better than the dreadful original but still don't have great wifi range. I find the bedroom at the opposite end of the house from the router has very weak wifi to the extent my phone often drops back to 3g, which these powerlines would fix right up...

What do we enter for site ID

Its your two digit area code. If you log into my virgin media it displays it or if you have any letters from them it should be printed on the top near account number.
Worked for us! Don’t need them right now but who knows when, may as well if they’re free!

Thought it was but always get the message saying details incorrect
no luck with my VM
No such luck for me, either.
and the email saying the kit is on its way will also say they are going to add £42 to your next bill, not the cheapest free thing I have ever got!
Yes I got the same email:

What it costs
Your clever little Powerline kit costs £42 (which includes £7 for postage), and we’ll add this to your next Virgin Media bill.

Phoned them up and was assured that this was just an automated email and that my bill will be the same as normal - will wait and see.
darn not working for me
Free Powerline kit: Offer available to the named recipient of the offer email only.
Offer ends 23rd November 2018. Availability subject to stock.

So if you didn't get the email, don't bother...
Not working for me either. I’d have thought this should be rolled out to everyone. After all the hub isn’t great.
Just got back from holiday on Sunday and got this email, got confirmation email that order vhad gone through, got an email just now to say my Powerline kit was on its way and I would be billed for £42 for the kit.
