I found this offer !!!!
My MGF ( yes I have a hairdressers car )had got a puncture and I found this offer, they charged me a tenner to do the wheel balance and for the new valve.
Which I thought was a good price for a puncture.

This is one of them offers I hope no one needs !!!!!!!
Anyhow hope it saves someone money!!!!!!!

So its £10 to repair a puncture. Usually it's the valve and balance that are free and £8 for the puncture!

Not guaranteed but Kwik fit usually repair for free, they did the last few times I went anyway.

I usually pay £7 for a puncture repair at the local garage - which includes balancing and valve

My local place charges £8.50 for a repair, last time I went National tyres they said it couldn’t be fixed and needed to be replaced....took it my local place and they repaired it and it was fine u til it was changed due to tread ware, gone to the local place ever since.
These national chains pay their employees bonuses for what they sell to the customer, that’s why they’ll probable tell you the tyres unrepairable.

Why do you need balancing and new valve when you got puncture ?

They put a patch on the inside of tyre.

I agree , beware the 'beyond repair' ploy to sell you a new tyre, it's damaged the side wall, safer to replace. etc .I've heard it often.

You should balance the assembled wheel every time the tyre is removed and replaced.

£5 for a repair near me and £10 at a more exspensive place

I bought 2 new tyres from F1 Autos and they said my tracking was out and the car was pulling to the side and they would do it for another £25 , tracking wasn't out as I just had it done and sterring was fine, cheap tyres but tried getting me with the extras.

And for biycycles and all ? ,

FREE!!!...

Yeah Right O.

Kwikfit and two indys by me were charging £20-25 for a repair. Depends what area you're in.
Cheapest near me is Costco at £9.99.

My Kwikfit charges £20. But if you need a new tyre they charge their on the day price, quoted me £60 more for a replacement tyre than I could get online, spouting some bull about if you order online they plan purchasing and get better prices. Utter Bo**ox they are just fleecing people who don't have the choice and need to replace there and then!

Yeah noticed this, have never needed to get my tracking done on any of our last 5 cars. Unless you curb it hard or notice uneven tyre wear it's probably not needed, running correct tyre pressure is probably more important and not many people bother to do that in the first place.

Yes, but most of the puncture are repairable without removing the tyre.

Had a friend who worked for ATS Euromaster and said they had pressure to push unnecessary sales to improve performance. Copied this from a review of them on Indeed.

Cons
Over worked - Under Pressure from Area Manager to sell NO Matter WHAT..!

Punctures are usually repaired with a 'plug' these days. You have to remove the tyre to push it through the hole. Sidewall punctures shouldn't be repaired. This document details the standard and mentions patches, but I understand plugs are nearly always used these days.

The method of repair mandates tyre removal.
