Good deal ! Cheers OP!

great price, eggs are so expensive now

Spar?!?! cheap?!?! Am I reading this right?! Unbelievable, 6 eggs for 69p let alone free range eggs for 69p, I am still in 2011 aren't I?

Well done Jimmybob, the cheapest I've seen recently (yesterday) was a pack of 6 medium 'Happy Eggs' in Sainsburys on offer for £1.00.

Where are any of these stores, thought they went out in 1979!

Good deal if you can find a store I suppose

"Nisa" sells 6 large free range for 75p...didnt check the medium prices as only usually pick up the large.

i think i will stick with the co op creme eggs for £1.20 from lucerysmum

There are loads of Spar stores in the West Midlands.

Loads in Manchester City Centre as well.

Not sure what Crazylegs is on about to be honest.

Must be a northern thing then!

Hope these are in Spar at this price nationwide.
There was no sign of the deal on Yorkshire tea bags recently when I went to Spar.

Agree with Crazylegs - havent seen a Spar for years.

Thought they dissappeared about the same time as Bejams and Our Price stores

iceland sell 6 large free range for 99p all the time, much cheaper than the supermarkets.

Loads of Spar shops in the South Wales area still

Errr.....

Apparently they have 2,500 stores, nearest one to me is a couple of miles away,i had to check on the store locator, yes i am THAT sad lol

Surely for some the cost of going just to get the 69p eggs outweighs the cost saving to similarly priced egg products at other stores...

Guess it's hot, especially if you live near and want an eggcellent deal.

So near so Spar... unless you're crazylegs

Cracking deal.(_;)

I live in london and there is a spar a few hundred yards up the road

£1.69 at my nearest

Really?

Do free range eggs taste any different than ones from caged hens

In a word...yes.

Yes. They really do.

I had some amazing fried eggs at the weekend from a little café that has their own chickens in the back garden.

£1.69 in my local Spar too!

i have about 30 free range eggs in my fridge, chickens are laying them faster than i can eat them lol

I asked because my neighbour has chickens and gave me 4 a couple of weeks ago and i honestly couldn't tell any difference between them and the ones i usually get,i'm sure its psychological.

My neighbour doesn't even give them tap water and feeds them organic food or something or other, anyway, they sounded better looked after than i lol

But i honestly couldn't tell any difference.

I think the poster was implying they were confused why the West Midlands was classed as "Northern"

It is definitely not psychological (well to the hens welfare it is) a stress free hen on a better diet lays a healthier, richer yolked egg.

If you really are interested in the difference there are plenty of [websites] out there.

Anyone else managed to get any at 69p?
