Great deal from Aldi.

This is a deal not to be missed.

You can't even get it this cheap in KFC!

Enjoy.

Yes, as stated in the opening line.

The chicken may cost £3.29 if it happens to weigh 1kg, which the small chickens do.

With kindest regards.

Where's the cooking directions/suggestions? What would this go well with?

Is this suitable for vegetarians or vegans?

Do you have any evidence for this?

I fixed it (and edited the OP) so it reflected what the actual deal is

£3.25 at …£3.25 at ASDA.https://groceries.asda.com/product/whole-chickens/asda-butchers-selection-whole-free-range-chicken-typically-1.9kg/68511482

I have said this before and I'll say it again. Asda meat quality isn't great. Often pumped with stuff to bulk it up. Also the origins often cannot always be traced.

The Aldi one is much better quality, 100% fresh British chicken, guaranteed every time. It tastes much nicer and is more tender and juicy, just like proper chicken should be.

So in summary, don't just look at price.. also look at quality.

On that note, I'll get my coat...

Good deal and for that price your guaranteed a bit of meat not like kfc where there chickens have a tragic end to there life by dieing of starvation
The packaging states 100% British chicken. I'm unsure how I feel about my chicken being wrapped in chicken rather than sealed in someway. Is this even hygienic?

I'm not sure that its suitable for vegetarians actually - something that you wold need to ask the store manager about.

That said, its almost certainly suitable for vegans as its quorn-derived - so rest assured, and stock up!

As for cooking directions, its simple - just slam it in the micro, full power for 20 min. PING. Done.

While stocks last.

Quorn is actually not vegan. Has egg in it. Free range though. Because baby chicken embryos are cool to eat. Just not the adult birds! 🐔

I'm ever-so-sorry - 360 - for having to correct you slightly once again... may I possibly draw your attention to the following link, which is self-explanatory..

quorn.co.uk/pro…ger

Hope this serves to educate you a little bit more on Quorn and the concept of veganism.

With the kindest of regards and warm wishes...

This deal is gaining heat extremely rapidly and probably needed your cold vote to avoid busting the thermometre, so thank-you-very-much.

Warm wishes.
I think this is the standard price for Aldi free range whole chicken. Nice price anyway, and we buy them regularly.
I think this is one of the tastiest supermarket chickens out there. Very tasty and a huge difference between the normal chicken and the free range
Sorry to be a snob but m&s do three chickens for a tenner - it's the smaller ones weighing 1.1 kilos but for quality you can't go wrong - it's the Oakham ones. That's 3.33 a chicken! It's an ongoing deal with them - I picked up 3 today.
This was a great deal when you incorrectly stated it was £3.29 EACH... But otherwise cold. Thank you to the person who changed the wording, shame on the OP for being thirsty for attention.
The posting was not wrong. Some chickens are £3.29 each, making it perfectly valid..

Kindest regards
Taste was good but they are a bit tough.

Yes that is a little snobbish. However, you are also paying 4p more per chicken. This site is for the best deals and therefore there is no competition with getting the chicken 4p cheaper even if it's of slightly inferior quality.

With kindest regards.

The M&S 3 for £10 are for intensively farmed low welfare chickens, and are small making them poor value.
This deal for £3.29 per kilo isn't a deal because it is the regular price. I usually buy 3 a time to turn into breast meat, thighs, drumsticks and wings. The bones get turned into stock and used with the thighs for Spanish chickpea and chorizo stew. I have found it's the best welfare/quality chicken available in the supermarkets for the price. Voted hot even though it's normal price because more people should eat higher welfare chicken when given the choice.

They are also not organic as stated above. People need to be meticulous when reading the labels to make sure the content is actually what they're after.
