Take 5 minutes to fill out a quick survey and receive a FREE regular popcorn at any myvue cinema worth about £5 for the next time you visit. Only condition is you have to buy a drink. The price for a drink is a bit more justifiable when you can get free popcorn

Nothing beats smuggling in your own snacks and 500ml bottled drinks. Why pay 3000% mark up?
5 quid for popcorn?! Cinema food & drink prices take the pee!
If you receive Benefits such as personal independence payments or have a disability check out the c.e.a card ( you have to email proof over) it’s £6 a year but it means you get someone in free to the cinema to help you . So it works out half price each I’m autistic so I go on a Monday when it’s already cheap and get a second ticket free for someone to help me

Last week I paid £5 something for two tickets which roughly work out at like £2 something and we had cinema to our selfs as it was the afternoon on a Monday

Oh thank you My voucher has just come through, we went about a few weeks ago so did the survey based on that experience. Even better when you can get free popcorn, I usually moan about having to pay for drinks and popcorn because they are so expensive. Bonus. Thanks again
used to love pop corn till one on them Kernels was at back at thosrt for hours, not enough to choke just enough too irrate feeling
This has been going for ages and already mentioñed but still a great heads up do it all the time takes 5 min to do survey and definitely justifies the price of a tea/coffee its a fair size popcorn as well.
It's a shame we don't a vue in my town. Our cineworld is so backdated that I travelled extra miles for a better, modern cineworld

Why on earth would you buy food & drink from a cinema, just go Tesco and fill your pockets, in my local one you can walk in with a shopping bag and they don't even bat an eyelid I wouldn't mind paying if the prices were sensible

Popcorn. One of the reasons I don't go to the cinema. Last time I went …Popcorn. One of the reasons I don't go to the cinema. Last time I went to Vue there was a large child with 2 adults on the row in front of me who noisily munched his way through a big box. What a relief (to the ears) when he had finished. But no. He was then given more by his parents (or whoever they were) obviously keen on making him larger

Surely if you go to the cinema and watch a PG you expect kids?

One really good thing about Vue, compared to some of the other cinema chains, is that Vue dont mind if you take food or drink inside that you havent purchased from them. Two exclusions from this being hot food or alcohol.
This “offer “ has been in VUE for over a year and imo it’s not worth it since the cheapest drink you can buy is water over £2 and popcorn is not very good quality. Would be better getting from home.
Don’t worry people, that popcorn will be so salty you’ll have to go and buy another (overpriced) drink, and hey presto...

To be behaved and quiet under Adult supervision.
Cinemas such as Odeon and Vue allow you to take your own food in, better off going Tesco beforehand
"regular popcorn at any myvue cinema worth about £5"

Just because they charge £5 doesn't mean that's what it's worth :-P

I wouldn't mind the insane prices if they at least made it fresh, but once you've see. The storage bags of it you realise it much better to just buy a bag from Tesco for £1
Take your own drink and own popcorn. Absolute robbery at the cinema

And show no enjoyment from being taken out. I understand

We used to go to mcdonalds and take that in with us - no reason to be extorted by the cinemas - £10 for a drink and some popcorn??

WTF
Vue let you take in your own food.

Save even more money by popping into Tesco or another supermarket and getting a bag of popcorn (£1 for own brand sweet or salted) and a drink (£1ish for coke or whatever you fancy).

Their FAQ here: myvue.com/get…-us

Quote: Can I bring food from outside?

Yes - we allow food from outside to be eaten in our cinemas with the exception of hot food or alcohol.

This is a condition of our guest admissions policy which can be found on

Has this not been the deal for ever? At least since they changed it to now having to buy a drink. Used to just be free popcorn.
a friend used to work for Vue and said all popcorn used to come in huge packets, premade. then just warmed up.
I don't think vue pays more than 0.20p for one and sells 10 portions out of it for £3 each
enjoy

That would depend on the movie

I am sure parents will remember to check with you beforehand.

If they could check with me then I would have already seen it and not gone back
I've always taken my own drinks and snacks. And you don't have to 'smuggle' anything in. You are allowed with the exception of hot foot and alcohol.
i've got a poundland on the way to my local vue so i'm always sorted ..

You do realise you don't have to smuggle anything in. This has been the case "forever"

Almost all cinemas allow food and drink as long as it isn't hot food and alcohol, even than they probably won't even bother

Ok, you probably won't, its not against the rules or the law
They might make sure you don't have any alcohol
Has anyone ever been chucked out a cinema for bringing their own snacks ? Genuinely curious.

I can verify this, I don't walk in Vue, never have but I've seen boxes and huge packets of popcorn behind the counter a couple times
