Hi

I've just logged into my amazon account clicked on Department, then prime video > rent & buy when the page loads you might see a black banner that says "£4.49 OFF" click on it then click to activate the deal.

I've not used Amazon video in the past so not sure if this is a first time offer or something but if it helps other great.

Leave comments to let us know if you have it or not.

Does pose the question though, in the days you can buy a Blu-ray for £1 at Poundland, how can they justify charging £4.50 for one nights rental? Amazon has massive data centres so the cost per rental must be virtually nothing. Best way to stop piracy.... stop treating the general public like idiots and ripping them off.

I’m guessing it’s for accounts who haven’t rented a film before. Of course we all only have one account or we all good guys

Ehh? Not a valid comparison in the slightest. The DVD’s and Blu Rays in poundland aren’t new releases. £4.50 isn’t overpriced at all.

And you think the massive data centres cost nothing to put in place?
Just got mine, thanks for the post. Such a chore to find a decent film to buy within £4.49. Found one in the end though

My partner created an amazon account and it appears its for new customers - so if you have another email address register it and it should work too. Did for us anyway :-)

I disagree, at the cinema you get to see it on a big screen, so there is a premium attached to it, but the distribution cost are nominal for each film on a data centre compared to the manufacturing costs and distribution costs of a Blu-ray or dvd. 4.50 is just obscene for something you could have watch on a bigger screen earlier, or wait and get cheaper for a copy you can watch more than once. I bet amazon sell more kodi boxes than premium priced movies.
I've seen many times on Amazon, DVD's that are much cheaper to buy than rent. What's going on there?
My wife had it, but I didn't. Still, one is better than none!

Just so you know its £4.49 off so if you rent a £1.99 film its free so your whole point is pointless, like wise if you buy a movie at £4.49 its also free and theres plenty of good movies at and under that price, again your comment is pointless or you dont like free movies.
Thanks for posting, i didnt get the offer most be because i to up the offer before Xmas for a free movies but my son got the offer so Heat from me.
Got it, thank you!

Rented Valerian to watch tomorrow night with the kids. I've seen it already and really liked it. I'm sure the kids will have a blast.
Fantastic. Worked for me too. Bought Leon, a tough gritty drama, Jean Reno is the best he's ever been and Gary Oldman is just menacing. Love it. Heat OP, heat
It worked TY
Worked for me. Thanks! Might watch Micky Flanagan's latest.
