FREE - Replacement Ford Badges

49
Found 29th Aug 2014
Took advantage of this myself a couple of months ago.

Purely for this year only (2014), any Ford vehicle up to 10 years old can have its badge replaced free of charge.

So if your Badge is flaking, tarnished or corroded, you can get a dealer to replace, free of any charges whatsover.

Posted link to TC Harrison, but most Ford Dealers are also running this scheme.

I found this out a couple of weeks ago when I picked my Focus up after a service and found they'd replace both the front and rear badges. Didn't even occur to me to post it, so heat from me

do you just go to the ford garage?

I;d say phone the nearest (or whichever one you want to use) as each has their own way of doing it. Some dealers use online forms, others will book you in over the phone and others will tell you to pop down and they'll fit you in while you wait and have a (free) coffee in their showrooms

Do they replace the ford badges on alloy wheels as mine are looking a bit tatty.

Unfortunately not, you have to buy these yourself and a centre cap removal tool

As an Example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Ford-Alloy-Wheel-Centre-Cap-Removal-Tool-Fiesta-Focus-Mondeo-Ect-/161289416070

Have a scout round on Google for other options for Centre caps and tools

is it only up to 10 years old? my galaxy is 12....

Why does this happen to all fords!
As rochey2 said do you just go in to the gararge?

good luck with tcharrison. no end of trouble with them. suppose this is free mind

Thanks for the heads up, will give my local dealer a ring tomorrow, have some heat

Would look good on a chain.....around the neck.....if you're Ricky the Romford Rapper !

Dammit, my Escort is 14 years

I sgree. Had work done on my car by TCH and no end of problems. The only thing they got right was the badge. You dont use the derby branch do you?

Had my front badge robbed wonder if they will give me a new one lol

So I will have a nice new shiny badge on my rusting, spluttering Mondeo, at least give me something to look at when I'm pushing it!

worth ago especially how often people get theirs stolen of their car around the town my way. Heat added thanks

Booked mine in Ford Lisburn this week to get it done free of charge. cheers

Ford Lisburn doing mine this week free of charge. cheers

Is this Nationwide and I won't get fobbed off?
Does it take that long to book the car in, or will it just be a 2min job?
I got focus n Mrs got fiesta and think fiesta front and back gone white and focus badge on back too.

Shame they don't replace the side plastics that have blown off on motorway on fiesta n they want around 25quid each for em.... Grrr

The Tdci on both cars badges have also been damaged and gone white, wonder if they will change these too.

Not that far away...was it problems with their 'workmanship' ?

Got my ka done on Thursday at Essex Ford in Laindon. Got the wife's car booked in for next week too. Well pleased.
Never take my car to the £5 car washes anymore. The chemicals they use are so aggressive on the paint work and alloys.

Yeah, plus finding faults/causing faults which weren't originally there there. Shoddy bodywork repairs, shoddy servicing. Totally unimpressed with them. The missus has a ford and wouldn't use them for the personal car. But as the one i've been taking there is a company car (and I don't particularly have a choice where it goes) they take the ****.
My Lease company are a bunch of tards, told them all about TC Harrissons, but still want me to take it there.

Oil leak repair cost 1k
Replacing a clutch that needed the thrust bearing tightened/adjusted 1k

Told them I never approved it and wouldn't sign for it but was met with a snigger that said the lease company had approved it anyway.

Couple of times just not resetting the service light thing on the dash (not much of an issue in the grand scheme of things, just lazy)
Not fixing a water leak after the car had been in 3 or 4 times
the car has just hit 100k and theres nothing wrong with it, but guarantee that they'll insist the injectors need replacing next time I go in.

Pains in the ****

Maybe not ideal but have you considered buying an older car that you could work on yourself? Dealerships will get as much money out of customers because cars today are too advanced to me worked on at home. Yes, safer, but also if anything goes wrong and evidently it does, you're spending money just in labour to get to the source of the problem

Yes mate, but the company car costs peanuts to run. I'm not actually paying for any of this, just faced with the bother of dealing with tc harrisson which is the local ford dealer

Agree completely about their shoddiness. Fuel Pump leak needed 2 visits, after Service Mats were all up and hadn't been replaced and a mech had left a greasy handprint on the drivers front pillar. Used them for a Service, then some emergency work at the same time on a barely 4 year old car, but thet do seem to employ the worst mechanics possible. Will be looking elsewhere if i can find a decent Ford garage in the East Midlands (and NO, that does not mean sandicliffe who are just as bad).

Pity Archers of Ashby are not longer around.

I just thought it was cos I was a company car driver to be honest. I was obviously mistaken, they treat everyone poorly.

I've only been living here about 2 years so always dealt with them, although would have gladly tried archers of ashby.

Anyway, just get free stuff off them and get it sorted elsewhere

thanx. getting mine done next week

is there a list of participating places?

going to take my mondeo .will update asap

Well done, now go take a lie-down and dream of that Lada Riva you may one day own

My mate took his 11 year old fiesta in and the garage gave him a new badge, no questions asked.

Not saying all ford garages will be the same, but - If you don't ask you don't get!

Hi BuckRodgers666, we have noticed this thread and as I work in the social team at TC Harrison, I wanted to reply to your comment to say that I am sorry to hear about your experience with us. Could you please send me a PM or an email to social @ tchgroup.co.uk (no spaces) with your registration number and contact details so that I can look into all this and see if there is anything that I can do? Sorry again on behalf of TCH. Many thanks, Viky, Digital Department.

Your front of house staff are good Viky,k it's what happens in the garage that annoys me. However saying that, I lost 3/4 tank of Petrol (approx £75) when you replaced a failed fuel pump sender unit (Ford issue) and you sent me on my way with £20 of petrol and told me to take up the rest with Ford Customer Services.....oh and your mechanics left a nice greasy handprint on my drivers pillar, so thanks for the goodwill gesture, but your quality control is shocking and now I'm going through small claims to try and get my lost petrol back from Ford, after TCH did entirely nothing to support me after a Ford part failed less than 2 months after fitting.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I apologise again for the level of service that you have received, this isn't acceptable. If you could please send me your details privately then I can certainly look into recovering the cost of the lost fuel for you? I appreciate that you are extremely unhappy with the way that you have been dealt with and I will be making management at Derby aware of your case. If there is anything else that I can do to help please just let me know. Thanks, Viky.

took my mondeo to Bristol Street motors Birmingham. They took some time. ... The person handling my car took it to body shop and came back and said to remove current badge they will have to take back side I.e. From inside the boot and won't do out unless o pay them. But were happy to just handover me a new one. so I gladly took it and replaced myself. . easy job.
