How Does it Work (From PayPal's website)

It’s easy! Whether you purchased something from the UK or anywhere in the world, we’ll cover up to 12 returns on eligible PayPal purchases in 2017*. We’ll reimburse you for up to £15 per request.

1. Return your item -> Follow the seller’s return instructions for your purchase. Remember to keep a copy of your return shipping receipt.
2. Submit a Refund Request -> Log into your PayPal account, select the purchase you returned and click on “Request return shipping refund”. Submit the return shipping request form, along with proof of your return within 30 days.
3. Receive your refund -> If your claim is approved we’ll send a refund of up to £15 to your PayPal account within 10 business days.*

The T&C's can be read here

Now this isn't a new thing - has been posted in the past too, so please don't lynch me yet. I thought it was a good remind in time for the Boxing day sales for folks who have gotten to the site new or didn't come across the posts.

Hope it helps someone.

I debated for a while before posting it too - but then thought even at the risk of it being voted cold, I should, coz it just had the potential to help some folks atleast.
I'm a ebay seller. I loose £3.90 when they return the item they don't want no more back to my address if my buyers are in UK. And I Lost £16.99 last week when someone in France didn't get their jacket as it costs £16.99 to send to France using royal mail. Will PayPal cover me as a seller too as they'll see I would of refunded them in full?

Any place, as long as you paid via PayPal - coz then that transaction would be listed in your PayPal account to allow you to make the claim.

It indeed is the buyer's market in this case - I am afraid.

So long as you have paid with Paypal you can reclaim your return postage costs. I have used it and the process is quick ad easy. Just scan or photograph your proof of postage and click on the claim postage link on the transaction.

There should be a link on the original transaction "Request return shipping refund". Click on this and fill in the details. Scan or take a photo of your proof of postage and you should get your refund in a few days.
Can't remember last time paying for the return!
Had to send back a broken Android Box to China, received the £11.20 actually today.
Great deal, cannot go wrong.

Lots of merchants still charge for return - thats one of the reason I don't order from them, this helps me do that

Does this work with all retailers including zavvi?
And do you need to pay with PayPal balance or are debit cards ok? I paid with PayPal using a debit card and I can't see this option

I paid with my Amex CC which is linked to PayPal and see the option for ebay sellers from China/Hongkong, Gearbeat, Groupon and a lot of other sellers - so not sure why you don't see it. Wonder if you had to activate the offer first before paying or not - worth checking with PayPal support.
Thanks - have used this in the past, and it's really simple. Good find.
Thanks. I got stung paying £15 for a return to china, and retailer promised to refund (they didn't). Wish I had activated this.

If you used a tracked service claim through royal mail, plus it can take up to 10 working days to reach France

It does allow buyers to buy with confidence should something be wrong and they want to return, not so much for sellers ofcourse.
I got stuff from Body Shop which when turned up was total tat, I was shocked to see there were no free returns and remembered this paypal deal, sent both parcels back on signed for and got refunded no problems, I had to kick Body Shop up the backside for my refund so was happy I used signed for as at first they denied receiving it.

Afraid not. If you are a seller, business or private, you do not qualify.

It’s 3.4% plus 20p to receive a payment for goods or services. I’ve never had a problem with a purchase or do you mean a problem as a seller?

Not really if you post it recorded signed for as per PayPal rules you should claim compensation for item ,off either post company who have lost it or if it's been signed for at buyers address you are covered .protection covers buyers and sellers if you follow the rules.
