Always happy to try a free sample. This will of course attract the usual plethora of negative votes & comments. This is merely my own opinion, but I've not found a single "compatible" that I rate anywhere near as highly as Nespresso originals. On cost, I used to buy quite a lot of "shop" coffees & now very rarely do, & on the environmental impact, Nespresso has always invested heavily in its recycling programme & it works well, with no cost or hassle to the consumer.

I shall now retreat a respectful distance & await the arrival of the Greens
Requested samples, on submitting my details it then directed me immediately to a dodgy looking page to “request free gift”, clicking through that it said “two free spins”. At that point I closed it and came out. Probably get inundated with junk email and not get any coffee pods

Totally agree the compatible ones are pretty bad. I found the starbucks ones the worst kept flooding my machine

Had the same thing when I claimed mine a few weeks ago but the pods turned up and I haven’t received any spam!

A bit of a generalisation although I agree that the Starbucks ones seem to be the "least compatible" of the many that I have tried.

I think the best combination of price, taste and compatibility comes from the Morphy Richards Coffee Club ones which are currently under 13p each after the VC15 code. My wife isn't so keen on them so we also get the Aldi ones for about 17p each. Unlike some folks on here, I have enjoyed the special edition ones, especially the gingerbread flavour.

When you drink as many cups of coffee as I do, the full price originals really mount up in price which is why we have gone down the compatible route. At the end of the day, it comes down to personal choice.
Thanks OP, will give em a try. Bit unusual for a mail order business not to ask for your email address these days?!
I subscribe to Nespresso now. £1 for a new machine, which went in no time on eBay, then I pay £25 a month in store credit. The bonus is it's free delivery without having to buy 200 capsules at a time. Last time I checked the subscription levels were £18, £25 & £40. The plan term is 12 months but the store credits are valid for a further 2 years, so to me it was such a no brainer that I renewed recently & got another machine to sell on eBay. I realise that I'm a Nespresso fan & others may not be, but each to their own

That must be about the only environmentally friendly thing Nestle does.

Me too. I've tried loads of different brands compatible pods but none of them are good. If you ever find one please share it with the rest of us.
