Hi All.

This is my first mobile deal and I know people here feel passionately about them so please be kind.

I have been looking for a cheap deal on a Galaxy S II and so far this is the better one I've found, based solely in price, but was wondering if this really is a good deal and also if the vendor has a good reputation. The price was calculated as £15.50 x 24 months = £372.

I know there are more savvy shoppers in here who can find better deals, if so, please post them.

This deal is only available this jubilee weekend and will end midnight 5th of June, but I wonder if they'll have one for the European Championship, or the Olympics or any other date.

Please note that I can't afford to pay for this phone outright and then get a cheap sim only deal which is why I'm looking at contracts.

Thanks for your help.

PS. Here is Tesco's Link. It is only 500 texts but you can boost them to unlimited for free with T-Mobile boosters.

Plus £40 cashback

Really? where?
I mistyped it. If you buy through quidco or tcb
hev123 means maybe quidco

I looked the vender up in quidco and didn't find them, do they give cash back with them?

Wow, thanks!!!
Even better!

How does the T Mobile / Ornage collaboration work? Last time I tried T mobile their coverage was really patchy...do you get a combination of T Mobile and Orange services to use, hence I would guess decent coverage?
Amazing deal if as stated there are no hoops and jumps to go through.
SuperEd
Decent deal just wish had more internet - Heat added and thanks for posting
It's 250MB but they don't throttle or limit web browsing+email if you go over. Only streaming.
I got a similar deal through mobiles.co.uk, (dec 2011)

300min/300txt Unlimited Data, £15.50pm/24mth

I didn't get the cashback tho ! grumble.

Mmm, should I keep my payg or go for this?

LadyEleanor, I don't think this is a cash back deal (apart from what you get from Quidco) so I don't think you have to jump through hoops, but I have never dealt with them so can't be sure.

szbrozek, that sounds like a great deal!, shame they don't have it anymore!
why should any one bother to get galaxt s 2 where u can get HTC One x for cheaper then this for 14.12 with cashback and same price without the cash back. wake up guys oO

I was better before this in my opinion. Its now forever switching between the 2 and never really a good signal for very long. I used to be woth Orange which was really good where I live but if you live in a borderline 2g/3g caverage area you know the score. Well this is twice as bad as that.
Not really a deal here.

Infact I took the 3 sim only deal this week waiting for the inevitable price crash now the quads have arrived.

Besides at this price i'd rather get the Note or One x

£15.50 (give or take depending on the deal) seems to be the average price for yesterdays news.
Whats the best deal for the htc one x at this price? With TCB..

Do what I do and check phoneslimited.co.uk/ regularly.

It like google for mobile phone deals, just saves you all the hassle of checking the usual suspects time and time again.

Are you referring to hotukdeals.com/dea…958 ?

It's £14.12 with no data. This has unlimited browsing -- let's compare apples to apples here.

Good phone, good deal. Hot
well like alot of other people i've just paid £20 for a sim only deal on 3 that has triple the minutes and quadruple the data.

It works out alot cheaper getting one of those and removing all bolt-ons possible.

It also means you have 2 sim cards to play with, which in itself has inherent value.

This deal has unlimited texts and 250MB of internet, not unlimited net
This deal does have unlimited browsing and only has 250mb streaming, so mtj111 is right.

You're apples are rotten.
This "deal" gives you 250Mb - pretty damn poor.

Hi
I took a 24 months deal with T-mobile for £15.32 per month. Now barely 6 months into the deal, I get a letter that they are raising the price per month by something like 6% per month or so, and the letter says they are authorized to do so, as it is mentioned they can raise the price in this 24 months contract as it is stated in their terms and conditions.

But I think this is a variation of the contract and intend challenging this hike done by them. Anyone else who is on a 24 months T-mobile contract and got such a letter from the company?

Sf2rox, I found this deal using phoneslimited.co.uk.

Thats great. No really. If it weren't for people ferreting around and sharing the findings websites like this wouldn't be so popular.

I would expect this handset will drop in price dramatically over the summer, though i could be wrong. Hell if they were a straight £200 right now i'd probably buy one tomorrow. My gripe is not with the deal itself, other than the fact this handset has been superseded at the same price point, which makes it comparatively less of a deal.

If you have to have this phone then this isn't a bad deal. I just believe there are better options available. I can't count the amount of times i've had to restrain myself from ordering every half decent Note and One X deals that are popping up everywhere atm.

Don't stop posting deals like this otherwise they just slip through the net

I found a similar contract with Tesco's Phone Shop if anyone is interested. I understand that this vendor is considered higher risk (especially if you are buying into their own cash back deals, which this one doesn't have).
Here is the link:

It's not unlimited texts but you can use one of the T-Mobile boosters (free) to expand your texts to unlimited.

Sfrox, thanks for your comments.
This is why I came to this website, to see if this was a good deal but I didn't find it when I searched for it so I decided to post it and see what people's opinions were. I know what you mean about waiting for the best deal, I'm certain that this phone will get cheaper as they all do, the question is when.

They cant change the contract once you have both agreed the terms, they can propose it to you, but you dont have to accept it. Thats the whole point of a contract lol

They have done this to me,i paid 3 months at 20.42 then got a letter saying it was going upto 21.32,i thought at the time that it was wrong but couldnt be bothered to argue as it was less than a quid but its annoying me now,im going to ask them on twitter.

Yep, same here. My contract is going up around £1 per month. They state it is in the terms & conditions of the contract. The shame of it is, up until now I have been as happy as a pig in mud with T-mobile. Now, I won't use them again. All for less than £24.

So, that's T-mobile of my list (treating me like a mug), Vodafone (expensive & treating me like a mug) hmmmm...who next?
One X does not have the Super Amoled plus.

In fact the S3 does not either so in fact the S2 is supreme if you want a small phone..
Vodafone never did that in 12 years i was with them, its a liberty. Ive only been with T-mobile 3 months and they have annoyed me already.

Same here, 2 months into my contract it's gone up. I signed up at £25/mo and it's increased by 93p/mo to £26.47.

Yes i'm not sure how they worked that one out either.

Went into the shop and questioned it and was told it's in the contract to increase inline with inflation so it's tough. I don't know how on earth that is considered a fair contract.
It's bad enough that they insisted I paid some towards my S2 which has now been replaced by the S3 so soon after!
Still a great phone prefer it over the Iphone 4 for many many reasons, less mass, weight, slimmer, bigger screen much better for media, rsap, network streaming etc.

This is not a bad price its still around £300 for one without a contract. The contract is poor for most smartphone users but its only £70 for 2 years in my eyes so its not a bad deal at all (despite my dislike of 2 year contracts with such poor inclusive content). You could give the sim to your kid, parents etc and put a decent one in this so decent deal.

People going on about htc one have no idea they are no where near the level of Apple or Samsung when it coems to high end phones at the moment. Too big, too heavy and terrible battery life is just the starting point.

Until the sg3 is widely available for a reasonable price its the best high end phone for me.
