Where did you get that. I cannot see it on EE site.

You will use 1GB in 5 mins on 4G!

But the good thing is, EE dont charge you per MB for going over, but allow you to apply bundles before accessing any more data

I wish people would stop making fallacious statements that people that aren't in the know will believe. If you browse the same things in the same way then you'll use the exact same quantity of data. The only way you'd use more data with 4G is the fact that if everything is quicker you visit more pages and download more things.

If you download 10 mp3s, visit 50 pages and refresh facebook 10 times on 4g, it uses the same data as if you download 10 mps, visit the same 50 pages and refresh facebook 10 times on 3g.

Stop downloading so much porn then chap and you'll find you're using sod all for everything else!

I've 3gb data and use Spotify premium in the car and this is the second month that I've got nigh on 2.5gb left with days to go until the new month. Most people will struggle to use more than 500mb for general surfing etc. heavy downloads and video streaming will admittedly eat more data.

Technically if the 4G was around 100Mb download then you could download 1GB In 10ish mins... Although you would have to be sat on the signal mast to obtain that speed...

Same tariff on dialaphone for the htc one m8 too.

Just use wifi! It's everywhere these days including lots of public spaces and shops. Use 3G/4G when you need to and you'll get by on 1GB easy : )

Okay, I know you don't use it quicker than on 3G, but with 4G since it is so fast it is tempting to use it for other things such as video streaming because it's so fast!

Was going to switch to EE from Three but I use nearly 8Gb a month with Spotify and Netflix. 1Gb wouldn't last me a week.

I'm using 6 to 7gb a month on my S5 on EE and that's tethering my ipad off it with the odd youtube video thrown every day or so.

Don't use speed testing apps too often either . They can take well over 40mb per second from your allowance if you have a fast 4g connection.

Same here my 3 contract one plan is up next month and i use similar amounts to you tethering to my tablet watching netflix and tv catchup 4OD BBCi player etc in my lunch at work ,phoned them up for a deal but they woudlnt have it saying its the latest phone and 3 only guys who do the all you can eat data blah blah blah.. SO went for a rolling month plan at £12.90 and keeping my S3 LTE until the S5 come down a lot more.

£70 Quidco too.

Good but wil need to check if I can remortgage.

I agree 1gb is pants, ppl will go over limit and thats how they will get their money!

On EE if you hit your allowance limit your data will stop unlike some other networks where you'll incur extra data charges.

Please explain, or has my math suddenly become warped?
100Mbit/s ~= 10MByte/s = 600MByte/min
So you could download 1GB in 1 1/2 min. But even my broadband is "only" 20Mbit/s and 1GB then roughly takes 10mins in that case.

1gb data + 4G = laughable

100Mb/s = 12.5MB/s = 750MB per minute. Therefore, 1GB = 1m 22s.

Yer, I agree with your maths, give or take a few bytes.

1gb wtf

That didn't quite happen to me. As soon as I hit my 500MB limit they started charging me £1 a day per MB. If I hadn't noticed early on, I could have ended up with a £50+ bill - just for checking my emails.

It all depends on the type of contract you have with EE as to whether they just cut you off or allow you to run up a massive bill.

calm down people it's
still a decent deal for a Samsung S5

I actually moved my data allowance down from a meagre 250mb a month to an even more meagre 100mb a month simply because I wasn't using it.

Wi-fi everywhere here in sticks but only 3G data and that can be patchy.

Got it in store at phones 4 u. comes with EE's extra quick 4G and can use my minutes/texts abroad too ☺

Thats right

What happened to the days of the corded phone when the local switchboard connected your call.
Not complaining, people can flush their money down the toilet if they so wish.
I have a mega investment in mobile technology - so keep spending

Nice deal! just right for me cheers op

I'm doing the same, I use to much internet so I'm keeping my iphone with £12.90 sim until the s5 comes down, with the s5 prime soon to be released I think it will come down then.

You must have been on an orange contract then. The systems won't let you go over on their own. You get a text at 80% of your allowance, in this case 800mb to warn you. Then a final text at 1gb. At that point you have a choice to by a bundle with more data or to use wifi.

Also with last experience sometimes there sites apply a discount to the tariff which sometimes doesn't work so be really careful with these as sometimes you can end up worse off and if you get a contract, read it (take a screen shot maybe) just incase anything doesn't apply in the way it was promised

You'll end up returning the phone and getting a note 3 instead. great price though...

You can apparently pay for a data top up if this happens.

oh dear... maybe you meant you can use 1GB in 5 minutes on 4G.

You will be ok with EE as long as you have no problems. Just paid and finished my contract off early. Will never deal with them again. The worst company I have dealt with ever, consumer laws mean nothing to them. Good luck to whoever joins them.

Your maths looks OK but your English has gone Yanky.
