Best app by a mile and because you download maps no data being used either
IT IS FREE AND WORKS A TREAT!
Is there a free motorhome one? Sygic and Co-Pilot seem to be the only choice at £35..

You don’t need data for navmii other than to initially download app and the map of the country you need. I’ve used it for the past 3 years in America, France, Spain and Greece. No issues and haven’t had to hire or buy a satnav

Oh, so you do need data.

How would you download ANY smartphone app/map/update without data?

If you are using a stand-alone SatNav, I guarantee it's already out of date, map wise.

Maybe take a look at the fully inclusive data deals found on here, and try to enjoy life.
+1 for Waze. Used it for several years now.

Yes. Its free, the maps are on your phone so you dont need to worry about eating into any data allowance, having no reception or in expensive roaming areas.
It also seems to know about a lot of footpaths, which has been very useful on holiday both here in the UK and abroad: I used it a lot in India and in Australia

Some of us are able to survive without using a phone as an emotional or social crutch. I am happily on PAYG and spend maybe a tenner a year on topups. I make all the calls I need, use mobile data just when I need and wifi when I can access it for free. Skinflint? Yeah, you betcha!

I use Navmii extensively. I download maps via wifi at home or in hotel. The app is therefore completely stand-alone. Updates seem to come out at a reasonable rate.

The UI is a bit klunky but I aint gonna complain.

Thanks, I can see how that would be a benefit for some, for me I like the live traffic updates that Google gives. Haven't voted ether way. Thanks for the info

It’s called WiFi.. which you can get free in most outlets if you don’t have internet at home.. which is odd because I’m not sure how you’re posting without internet
