Save-a-Flush is an environmentally friendly way to use 1 litre less water every time you flush the loo.

The Save-a-Flush bag contains a biodegradable polymer which swells on contact with water, plus a little sand to provide some weight. Simply pop it into your cistern, and let it sit there displacing a litre of water every time you flush.

Voted hot, but should be in freebies rather than deals

So it essentially turns a regular loo into a low flow.....

And saves on average 3500 litres of water a year, Very good if your on a water meter

i was gonna post this but wasnt sure it was a freebie folk would be intrested in oh well heat added

Wow this is a great deal. Voted hot!

One of the best freebies listed yet. I got two! Each are worth quite a bit so thanks very much :w00t:

Greg

just make sure you dont ut these in the new size cisterns, they are only meant for older large cistern toilets. and if you dont manage to get one a house brick in your cistern does exactly the same thing.

both our loos are dual flush small cisterns so no use to us but nice freebie.... every little helps.

although as this says it save you 3500 litres a year in pennies that is about £4.40 saved a year if you flush your loo 10 times a day. (taken from our cost per cubix meter at £1.28 with anglian water.

ordered 2 thanks heat + rep added

heat and rep! nice one

thank you

I've found that a high fibre diet means it flushes itself!

Ordered 2, 1 for the Static caravan. Our water isn't metered yet but will keep them until it is.

I ordered 2. Thanks very much for this. Heat and rep

Had a similar thing for my loo but when it was in my cistern my turds never seemed to flush in one go :-(

Ordered - thanks.

Anything to help the rainforests and polar bears is good for me.

Got a new loo that has 2 flush buttons...
1 small for number ones
1 big for number twos

I gather I dont need this?

Just Fill A Plastic Litre Bottle Of water Or More If Ya Like And Place In Toilet System,
that Way You Save On Water Usage:whistling:

these flush thingys are only for the older large size cisterns so no you dont need one. the newer loos hold much less water in the first place so you shouldnt put anything in the cistern.

Might do for some wimpy vegan ryvita nibblers, but a big man like me needs all that flush so I think I'll pass on this deal (pardon the pun.)

Good freebie but saves waiting for it then just fill a plastic bottle full of water and pop it in the cistern and it does exactly the same thing!

Also, don't forget, "When it's yellow, let it mellow. When it's brown, flush it down" is even more effective than one of these. Though your other half may not appreciate your efforts to save the planet...

The crystals for these are great for your plants, they are the same stuff as the expensive water retention granules and great too for starting seedlings, especially for hydroponics set ups (and no hydro is not just for the "herb")

Got these a while back.

Whilst I agree you do sometimes have to flush twice to remove everything, that is more than made up for by the reduction in water usage every other time. So even allowing for the occasional double flush you're still saving water.

got 2 last time and they work a treat!

One of these wrecked my cistern...they are for the bigger and older ones not the more eco smaller ones
