Nice deal, as there are some half price sets available, but almost everyone has already spent too much on lego in the past year, and every second person has stashed away some sets to sell "when they become rare".

That's me on both counts! Buy two sets, one to make and keep - the other to sell in the future. A lot harder to do nowadays but certain sets do still go up in value considerably.

Yep that was posted a few weeks ago.. but it's still £35 of RRP Lego !!.
Out of curiosity, where do you all keep the Lego you have actually made? Coming from someone who used to make loads as a kid. Think I sold loads of rare lego as well on the cheap by mistake a few years ago

Is the Beetle due to be reduced?

It's a free polybag Beetle, with purchases over £35. The full sized one is still full price.
Lego is a wonderful product, it's just a shame the manufacturers decided to enter the world of politics (boycotting daily mail promos), so I decided to boycott them - there are other cheaper building blocks available at the basic level for younger children.
I am not always in favour of any national newspaper, but think it's time people like toy manufacturers, never mind film stars, pop singers etc stuck to what they are best at, and stop thinking it's their job to preach politics to us.
Might get the friends adventure camp thats half price now, thanks op

Surely the opposite is true - no longer being affiliated to The Daily Mail means they are politically neutral. Encouraging fans of their toys to buy a certain newspaper means they are endorsing it (and therefore it's views).

National News papers are private institutions who want to make money ? Anyone can and should object to them .Lego provides a valuable service and joy to many . The Daily Fail can't even provide decent litter tray content.

An interesting point of view. I felt exactly the opposite and was so delighted with their ethical stand that i bought sets for all of my grandchildren last Xmas. They were a big hit and i shall take advantage of this offer for a supplementary set for the eldest's birthday next month.
