Free SIM and £10 top up with ? purchase @ Sainsbury's mobile

So this is a weird post but I thought I'd put it up to see if anyone else gets lucky. And sorry if this is in the wrong section, is it a deal because I had to purchase first or is it just in vouchers? Or is it a freebie?! Who knows...?!

I went into Sainsbury's and bought about £15 worth of food (mainly meat/fish/veg) and I didn't present a Nectar card (I can't be bothered to carry it around!). Then this voucher came out of their voucher printer (see first post - sorry about it being tattered, I shoved in my bag where a highlighter was left without a lid on!)

Free Sainsbury's SIM card and free £10 top up. No other catches (you can see the T&Cs). Hope this maybe helps someone - I probably should have asked the cashier how I qualified to get the voucher!

Thanks will need phone to take this

WOW! [goes to check the voucher I got] Damn - not the same (free sim only) - cheers for the post though.

PS Buy a lottery ticket when you redeem this - clearly your lucky day!

PPS The 'catch' may be that you must have a nectar card to redeem (hardly a big effort).

Could be! I haven't actually redeemed it yet so I'll see if I have any hoops to jump through to redeem it. Should be straightforward though, the terms on the voucher are so minimal!

Did you use your necter card to get this ?

No mate. As I wrote in the OP, I didn't present a Nectar card (I don't usually carry it around with me).

Voucher does say Terms apply. Perhaps it's the same as this deal?

It had better not be because it doesn't say that in the voucher! I would probably argue that it says free and free and not subject to minimum top up - it would be very cheeky of them to expect otherwise. Although that's still a good deal too, essentially a BOGOF on top ups.

While on holiday, I took up the offer of buy Rio 2 on DVD and get a £10 top up for Sainsburys mobile free. That was clearly advertised on the shelf though

I got one of these the other day also.

Nice one. Did you manage to redeem it yet? Was there any catch?

Ta OP.

Great post; love the attention to detail re: Nectar Card, highlighter in bag etc.

X)

Although I'm shocked that you don't carry your Nectar Card.

There's 15p you didn't gain today, plus a lot of the time you get MOCs when you use your Nectar Card. e.g. £4 off wys £20, 50 bonus points when you buy fresh meat etc.

Also, random question, but do you have a Morrisons nearby?

Honestly, I've got so many cards and stuff in my wallet that it just bulks up too much and it hurts my **** to sit on it when I don't have a bag! My girlfriend is usually with me so we just put all the points on hers.

And I have a Morrisons sort of nearby but I never go to it because it's not on my route home from work... why?!

I figure people might think it was fake because there was random blue marks on it!

Did you know they do key fobs?

I toped up £15 the other day, I never got not double credit or anything at all from Sainsburys... Was there something I was meant to do?

I topped up £10 and got the coupon, so looks like it's random ( I'm not a regular shopper at Sainsbury's so I doubt it's to do with a loyalty reward).

I've got one of these somewhere. I have no use for a sainsburys payg sim, even if it does have a £10 top up for free.

No, I have no need for it, was going to just give it to my brother

i often dont use my nectar card when buying little bits, get brilliant vouchers. do £100 shop and get rubbish vouchers, obviously use my nectar card on the big ones.

Just amused me when you said you were buying fruit, veg and meat when there's been a recent offer for £5 worth of 'free' fruit and veg from Morrisons and there's talk of a £5 off voucher wys £10 on meat tomorrow at Morrisons too.

I got one of these and redeemed it, you get a free sim card (£1 value) and then they give you a £10 topup voucher also. I was going to put the sim in an old phone but decided to put the voucher on ebay instead, free £6 minus fees lol.

What a good offer, although sadly I haven't been given the voucher but they always seem to be doing offers so I only top up when there is an offer

I didn't get double credit as promised so I complained to sainsburys and they told me I would get an automatic within a week. & 7 days went by and I didn't get the credit so I emailed and told them I had waited the 7 days and they credited it to me.

Hi Everybody. Few weeks ago I've ordered 5 free simcards from Sainsbury's with 15 GBP on each of them. No top up needed. On the next day I've had them in my postbox. Sainsbury's is a realy good place to look for offers.

I keep getting this voucher.

I get the sim card (no purchase necessary), it then prints out the £10 free topup coupon. I topup an existing sim card (the first one I got).

They keep spitting this coupon at me == continual stream of free credit.

I've converted £45 of £50 into PSN credit thus far (the pay with mobile credit feature).

what pay with mobile credit feature? how does that work.. I might go hunt for a voucher if I can get psn credit out of it!

I can confirm that you get a 10 pound voucher, however I think they have changed the deal to free bundle now as I went in today and only got an offer for free sim and a free 30 day bundle but it could be that they have tracked the old voucher on my nectar and given a different one this time, either way a good deal.

Wow! Do you use your nectar card when you are given the till spit? And do you use your nectar card when you cash it in for another £10 credit? ie do they know they keep giving you the same voucher?

can you use this with the PSN store to get £10 credit ?

ref : this says you can use Sainsbury mobile -->

Did you use the voucher with £10 credit and free SIM on it to start this process? I am wondering if it might spit the voucher out if you used one of the other kinds vouchers for a free SIM or if you simply jut bought the SIM. I am having a lot of trouble getting hold of any of the vouchers with £10 credit on them at all.

There are at least 5 kinds of Sainsbury mobile vouchers in circulation as far as I know. I have had 4 ones with different offers on so far, but none offering the £10 credit yet.

It's from the 4th voucher with the online code on it. If you go to mobilebysainsburys.co.uk/joi…-us it takes you to this site, I've just discovered. That's why the form has a coupon code field. I haven't tried submitting the form without a coupon code...

I tried to submit it without a coupon code but it wouldn't go through
