Sounds like orange are following giffgaffa lead
Always handy to have a spare sim with credit on it for back up and with the high charges from orange an extra £5 is useful

i find that most providers will wipe your credit off the sim if you don't use it within 6 months. this means iffy to buy a spare sim and keep it for too long before using it.

sounds like a good offer.
Ah I use these sims To send a txt every now and then so they don't expire
I have a number of spare is s from all networks for the whole family, certainly saved a lot of stress on Friday when giffgaff had a watery end to their servers for some
hours

Orange customer service are CR*P if you can put up with their rubish language skills then go ahead.
thanks, might be useful.
Hate Orange to the core..........worst company to deal with they don't know 'c' of customer service............i guess they pay cheap salaries so they get all cheap staff and do not pay them well so they are disgruntled as well...............even for extra £5 this **** is not worth putting up with.

Might sound like a daft question.

Why would you need to ring customer service on PAYG?

I have been on PAYG for 10+ years with various networks.. Hand on Heart, never had to ring them once after initial registration.

Most services are web based or automated.
Also go through topcashback and bag yourself £5.05 cashback too.

i had to call them because i was getting no signal (after 3 years or so without any problem) and they were fine actually but they were not helpful as they said they did not know. i just had to go to the window to make a call.

what really puts me off was when i called to ask for my pac code as i had moved to their partner, T-Mobile, they were quite stroppy about giving me my pac code and the first time i called asked me to call back and all this costing me money as calls to customer service on PAYG is chargeable.

my other half had an orange contract for 11 years but when we wanted to close it, we had a lot of trouble closing the account and orange made us jump through hurdles and obstacles before they would allow us to leave.

Cheers will use for the cinema
Thanks. Seems like a great deal. Ideal for Orange Wednesdays.
Is the offer still valid though because when I clicked on terms and conditions it said this:

1.£5 free credit will be applied to your account when you top up by £10, within 7 days of registering your SIM and will take 14 days to be applied.
2.The Promotion is defined as a free of charge pay as you go SIM connection pack. The Promotion is available to all customers who order a free of charge SIM connection pack between the 1st July 2008 and 31st December 2011 subject to availability.

I'm not sure if this is correct though. Can anyone confirm?

Heat Added !!!!
How could this be a freebie when you have to spend £10 to get £15 top up?

Free Sim card.. the clue is in the title!

If you register, Orange will send you a sim card for Free!

All PAGY sim cards require you to .... Top up. Your own money I'm afraid..

What Orange will do, is give you Five pound Free when you top up £10.

Simple really. Free sim card with £5 free with top up.

Two free deals there, both in the original title. Quite simple really.

Sorry to sound Arsey.. some people are really on this site for the wrong reasons....

I believe you when you say they offer a crap customer service..especially when leaving a contract.

This however is PAYG.. no need for CC contact..

Free fiver and Orange Wednesday.. Just use them..
Been running a few years this.
Thanks for that always good to have a spare sim card
