Skys new VIP loyalty promotion offers free installation of their 2Tb Sky Q box & 1x Mini box if youve been a continuous subscriber for 15 years or more.

You first need to download the My Sky app
>> sky.com/new…app
And then select the Sky VIP button on the app’s home screen
This should tell you which tier level you're entitled to dependant on how long youve been a 'continuous' sky subscriber

Silver 0-3 years - A free Sky Store Buy & Keep movie
Gold 3-8 years - All the benefits of Sky Silver - Free Sky Go Extra - Sky Atlantic VIP
Platinum 8-15 years - All the benefits of Sky Silver and Gold+Free Sky Fibre set-up
Black 15+ years - All the benefits of Sky Silver, Gold and Platinum + Free Sky Q set-up

I called them earlier today & they (eventually) confirmed that as i'd been with them since 1993, I could get free installation of the 2Tb Sky Q + 1 Mini box for no extra charge - its worth pointing out that I'm already a multiroom subscriber.
If I didnt already have multiroom it would have been an extra £12pm.

Currently I pay £65pm for the Variety, Cinema Package & Multiroom
After the Sky Q installation my bill remains exactly the same

I took up this offer back in August and don't regret it one bit. Despite all the negative reviews I think it's a massive upgrade on the HD boxes and haven't had any problems whatsoever. Annoys me people who criticise people who pay for sky. I have the full package and pay just under £50 which is about £13 per week.

vonsidering it costs about £4-£5 for a pint nowadays I happen to think Sky is pretty good value for money for me!!!

It was apparantly launched first week of August, but I'd never previously seen it advertsed.
I did a search on here before posting but couldnt find it anywhere - no doubt your next post will provide the original link

I guess if I was paying £65 pr month for 15 years I'd want a bit more than sky 1 2tb box and sky q mini box.

This year sky have not done good deals for existing customers including myself using all teh old tricks.
I signed up for this but had to cancel day before install as it's not possible to keep other hd boxes on same dish as skyq.

Why? Play the game and you'll get the deals. Never ever paid for a box or installation. And £38 is the most I've ever paid for any package which has always included sports, entertainment, box sets and always in hd (whilst avail). And for prob 50% of the time included movies. Hardly requiring a doctor I feel.

I do but he never wants to talk about Sky tv?

I pay £98 a month for full package in three rooms. I love it that people get this for £2 a month but don`t ever see proof of it much on here?

Its a bit like mobile deals where whatever one person gets it for someone else pays half but even when someone politely says could you show us the deal so we can ask with proof its available, it nevers happens. There are exceptions obviously

No fibre with my current deal-couldnt get close to the current vodafone deal of £24 for unlimited upto 76mb fibre. Was/am paying £30 for full sky package inc hd, sports, movies, entertainment and boxsets with the 1tb box, just renewed (without any haggle), and lost movies only and now £38 a month-still not bad i feel.

Back in 1993 I paid £250 for a pace prd800 reciever/decoder box - you had to buy the equipment yourself back then although the sky engineer would put up the dish.
I paid £19.99pm for ALL channels which I think consisted of 1 movie channel, 1 sky sports channel, & probably around 25 others - although can only think of Bravo & possibly Sky1?

I also use a freesat box & was planning to use a hybrid LNB which have 2 outputs for skyQ & 4 outputs for regular sky

Loads more in subscriptions? It’s the same price. If you don’t have multi room then you have to pay for multi room to use the Q mini or on a tablet, but the price isn’t any more than normal Sky+HD. So if you’ve already got multiroom then you won’t be paying anymore at all.

I've got a sky Q box to the livingroom telly and my old sky box to the 2 bedrooms running off the same dish
I got free 2tb box and mini box plus free installation ... I get everything they do fibre, telephone, multiroom and every channel for £59 a month capped until 2022... told them I had amazon prime and Netflix and didn't really need them and suddenly everything was free or reduced dramatically

Yes no add on fibre and phone that’s £62 you’re paying. So just about the same. It’s the rip off line rental £18.99 these days. I don’t even have a house phone plugged in. Stupid. I don’t want one but have to

Never carry on paying after your contract is up, always make a note when it’s 30 days before your contract ends. On that day phone them, say my bill is going up to much, the first person won’t be able to offer anything. Say I want to hand my 30 days notice in. The next set of people have the power to add discounts 25-40% off usually. If they offer you low 25% off day hand your notice in. Over those 30 days they will offer you more and more discount. Agree to one of them
Within the 30 days. I got 40% discount this time I said I know the routine and they jumped straight to max discount. My mate works for sky lol.

I signed up for 18 months this time as I’m happy with £63 a month all in. I will phone up in 17 months and do it again.

The people who never phone them and carry on paying £98 a month are the ones funding the discounts on the people who can be arsed to phone them. Bit like gas/electric/insurance etc.

Think £30 discount on Sky is £360 a year saving!! For the exact same thing for the sake of a 10 minute phone call.
He's only spent about £11700 To get this amazing offer !!! Sod that I was with them 10 years got nothing !!!

You get better offers/discounts adding multi room and the 2tb box. If you have the old hd box the q box is on a different level. 100 times better. Better menu, all works far better. Get it, doesn’t cost anymore and Sky own the box not you so they have to fix it if anything goes wrong.

The mini box is wireless, it works as a WiFi booster if you have WiFi issues . Even if you have to pay £60 fitting and same monthly price it’s worth it. You could probably sell the hd box on eBay for £40-60

It's so easy to get discounts come end of contract everytime. This year 65% off for my parents contract for next 12 months on a 12 month contract. We have sky q packages no movies sports or box sets buts it's free for 18 months so that's enough as well. Just have to haggle with them. £98 a month I was paying £28 before sky q offer for full package

Shy people get nothing. Usually lazy people who can’t be arsed to phone them keep on paying stupid prices.

They are scared you will leave, costs them nothing giving you extra. They would rather you paid £40-70 a month than leave. Just matter of accepting what you think is the best discount they will offer. You don’t want the 30 days notice to run out and be cut off lol. Like a game of deal or no deal

100 times better -that's some statement ! I get box sets (which I don't really want -just came cheaper than the basic "variety " package . Haven't got or want a 4K TV so the SKY Sports (which I do want ) in HD is fine for me and I like the pause , the record and save functions and watch/ record to view at my convenience progs from SKY Atlantic , even Alibi ,BBC or ITV when I want . For instance record whole series over the weeks then watch them all in one go . Although I dare say most are available with catch up or Box sets .

I also like the ability to record Spurs games whilst I'm at work - then watch when I get home (or delete if they have played rubbish !) . Mine is a simple world

You can record about 5 channels at same time and watch another one. Old box is record 1 and watch 1. If you can get sky silver box with 4K sports at no extra cost it’s worth buying a new 4K Tv imo . Keep up with the times lol

It’s the same price, you don’t pay anymore for Sky Q. Even the multiroom is the same price as normal Sky. The subscription doesn’t go up. I’m not sure if multiroom is mandatory to get this deal, but I guess you can do a LiveChat to try and get Sky Q without it. End of the day, if they’re giving you the box and set-up for free anyway then I’m sure you’ll be able to get it without the Sky Q mini box and multiroom.

Old box (the one I have) is 2 channels so record 2 and watch Freeview on the tele whilst doing that . Rarely would I want to record 5 channels ! How would I ever have the time to watch it all ! Even with my prehistoric box I'm 5 months behind !
Having said that if I could get a SKYQ box (with the extra storage and extra channel recording with my present content ) for £28 a month I would go for it (I like but don't understand new fangled things ).

I'll have a word with SKY but somehow I doubt it , but I'll say that the "experts" on HUKD assured me I could

I was told in the call it has to be 15 years Continuous subscription to get onto the Black tier VIP loyalty.

While I agree that sky subscription prices are high, our multiroom box has been playing up lately, which couldnt be fixed by the normal box resets so this deal is perfect for our situation.

Although I also have a couple of android TV boxes which are used as kodi media players, theyre not exactly user friendly & no way would my wife be able to navigate their menu system, wheras the sky box is just so simple & intuitive to use.

Heres a thought - Maybe all electronics should have some kind of labelling system to assess if a female can operate it unaided - There, Ive said it!!
