As per title. Had an email today but the wording suggests that it is account specific. I have just renewed my minimum term (after negotiating on price) so could be aimed at people with a while to go on their contract.

So, first you had to get off your fat arse to change the TV channel.
Then you had to lift the remote and actually press a buttonn. Now, you have to spit your chips out first. How lazy has this world got.

Sky probably renewed your contract and added 18 months for ordering this. They do it with everything else

this has been going on since june. theres been 2 or 3 deals posted on here and they werent account specific. theyve expired now but heres the website link. appears to still work. if you have issues then check youve signed up for sky vip.

sky q is a nice upgrade, plus your current box will be quite old now and who knows how much longer it will last...

depends how much youre paying now but you should be able to negotiate a deal around the same price, maybe cheaper... plus you can lock that price in for 18 - 24 months... might be worth going through the cancellation process and then during your 30 days cooling off period haggle for a new contract.

Had sky Q for years never really impressed with the voice it doesn't do enough functions /commands to bother with, the only voice control that I use is my Sony android Google assistant far more useful

Keep the old sky box, sky q is so bad.
T+C's say it only for customers who have been invited to benefit from the Reward.
I found it on the mobile app MySky but not the TV app.
I’ve tried to get this the last 3 times it has been posted as our original remote is a bit tired thanks to the kids. Not been eligible for it, and still not either by the looks. If I’m honest, Q seems to be getting worse with each ‘update’.

I got all channels HD, UHD, Multiroom and the top Netflix package for £52pm. Netflix alone is £12pm. Before the offer the bill was going to be £100pm without netflix!!

Initially they said no deal so I said fine, cancel. Got put through to retentions who could offer me a discount although not a huge one. Told them I was after something around £55pm as BT were offering their full package for that. They couldn’t match that so I proceeded with cancellation.

Within a few days I had an email saying come back etc. A couple of days after that I had a phone call ( 0800 761 3362 ) went through why I was cancelling, I told them what I wanted and whichever department I spoke managed to get the price down to what it is.

Sometimes you have to go through to he cancellation route. I was fully prepared to leave though but I think it was worth it in the end.

Ours came today, and voice control understands Geordie!

It also controls my Yamaha surround amp.
