never have so many paid so much for so little . biggest rip off going is sky tv . look around invest in a satellite system of your own , preferably a motorized set up and stop paying through the nose for something you could get for next to nothing . what do they charge now for the full package £80 a month (including club channels ) completely bonkers

Ditto - I'd feel like Sky was mugging me every month if I subscribed to Sky Sports, but I watch pretty much all the football on the Freeview channels.

I'm shocked that an estimated 6 or 7 million subscribe to Sky Sports channels one way or another - no wonder the Premier League clubs are awash with cash!

sounds good to me. premierfella ive sent you a pm if you would like to take a look

Sky rip-off, is this really supposed to sell their overpriced package? Just signed up for free trial off Now TV On PS3 and the quality is appalling. Unwatchable last night.

It wont be on the listings, but Pick TV will be replaced by Sky Sports 1 on freeview and youview.
The normal Sky 1 channel on freeview will still be a scambled signal as it's paid to view.

You're wrong too.

Considering the price of a premiership match ticket for one adult is similar to that of the cost of Sky Sports for one month, I think it is value for money for the product on offer.

Not on VM at all?

Dirty Lids!

a decent opening game too, having watched both teams in pre-season Swansea have strengthened their squad yet again whereas United have...um... set their sights on unobtainable players and ended up with Zaha as the marquee arrival. Hopefully when Swansea finish the game with a higher possession & completed passes ratio the penny may drop that a central midfielder is needed as "Anderson's year to step up" will never happen.

I think Swansea might win, should be a great game!

I too am a sports fan but the cost of Sky is soooo much I can't afford it, plus I dislike Sky so much I can't ever see me taking it up, they have too much control over what time and days games are played and are purely driven by profit and not care for customers. There are plenty of ways to watch for free if you know what you are doing.

It's a great thing you said that tarr I can watch it on phone whilst out now

Nope, not me. I'm only paying £10.75 a month for Sky, and when that expires I'll probably be cancelling as I can't afford to pay full price let alone an extra £15 or whatever for Sky Sports. Anyway I prefer watching the games down the pub, better atmosphere than my living room which will consist of my girlfriend constantly making fun of the players names and their hairstyles.

Defo on PICK TV on Saturday. It is channel 11 on my Freeview TV.

I cancelled my Sky TV Entertainment package but still have Sky Broadband and SkyTalk and guess what, I have to pay NOT to have Sky TV ! Next Bill - Supplement for not having Sky TV 17 Aug - 16 Sep £2.50.
Anyone else in the same boat?

Granted it's a rip off at full price but If you get one of Sky's 12 month half price deals I think it's pretty decent value. For £13 a month you can get a brand new HD PVR box, free installation and everything bar Sports and Movies with just an additional £2.50 a month for HD channels. Then 12 months later you simply cancel and take out another deal as a new customer again.

No need for a house phone I have a mobile and can get 30Mb/s broadband for £17.50 a month from Virgin without the need for the landline. Anyone paying £80 odd a month needs their head testing.

The other week I bought a 2Tb box form Sky for £49 and in return I got £25 TCB and £25 M&S vouchers. So's tell me whose being ripped off again?

I'm also going to be getting a motorised system soon myself. Best of both worlds I say.

I am a sports fan, the only reason I have Sky Sports is because Sky offered me every channel for free for 6 months as I had left. If they hadn't I would be watching by other means (_;) ha

Is WWE on on this channel on the day its free too? been a while since I watched that and may check it out of it is included

Call to request disconnection. They'll offer you six months at half price, they don't want to lose you

So don't like ManU, but this made me giggle, cheers Jammy

I had Sky Sports, then realised I was being a foolish oaf - so now I don't pay, but do manage to watch all games... Either go to the pub with the £30 odd it cost and watch there - or use my laptop to watch...
And if anyone has a "moral" objection, then just think - is it "moral" to rip millions of people off..?
Forgot - voted HOT because it's actually free, and it's actually something I can use.

Hot but I wish there was a way to watch on FreeSat :(.
