Free Sky Sports for some existing customers

This deal is not for everyone, but it may be of use to those who do qualify.

To get this deal you need to already have:

1. Sky Broadband Unlimited
2. Sky Movies Pack
3. Be on a sky half price offer

If you have all of the above, you will effectively get Sky Sports pack free until your half price package ends.

At the moment Sky have a promotion offering free unlimited broadband for new Sky Sports customers / upgrades. If you already have the movies pack then your sports pack will be £14 per month (usually £31 without movies). With your half price deal currently on your account this will then come down to £7 per month. If you're currently paying £7.50 for unlimited broadband, then this will come off as an offer, but you will now be paying £7 for sports meaning you will save 50p on your bill and have Sky Sports for the privilege.

I believe this will work the other way round too, if you already have sports, add the movies for the same deal (not tested).

Don't forget Quidco too, £35 if you still have the sports on after 8 months.

No idea why the voting buttons are greyed out on this - I would've voted Hot!!

Is this just a matter of ordering the Sports package on the Sky website, and is the discounted price shown there and then?

If you have all of the above requirements then yes just go to sky.com > shop > upgrade > offers

Look for the sky sports upgrade offer and click the button to view the offer. Then it will come up with upgrade now for £free. Add the offer to your basket and you will be 50p better off! Go through quidco for a potential £35 cashback too! Let me know if you have any problems getting this deal and I will help ;-)

PS I expired this deal because was fed up of it being voted cold just because it's not for everyone.

I got the 6 months half price movies offer that was on here just before Xmas, but I'm not being offered the Sports offer aligned with it when I do as above. I get offered a full 12 month Sports contract with free broadband at £14.50 extra a month.

That's also the price it goes into my basket at.

You will need to be on a sky half price tv deal for the price to come down ;-)

Oh well, can't win 'em all! Thanks for your help on what I believe was a good deal, despite the cold reception.
