Found 5th Feb 2013
Found the following on MSNs homepage and not one to turn down something free I followed the steps and received my Skype credit. it's not much but it's free so can't complain.

Step 1: Submit the name of the person who you would most like to call on Skype.
Step 2: Make MSN your homepage by clicking on the claim your credit button.
Step 3: Change your homepage back to what you previously had it set to

Redeem the voucher on the skype website as detailed here:
support.skype.com/en/…her

Voucher must be redeemed by August 31, 2013.

Just for fun you can see the "top 10 skype wish list" here: freeskypecredit.tech.uk.msn.com/res…lts

EDIT:

Some users have reported that this is per computer meaning you can use this offer multiple times if you have access to more than one computer.

EDIT:

For those of you in the UK getting the following error:

"Thank you for your interest in MSN and Skype. Currently this promotion is limited to users from the UK and Ireland."

please check that your region is set correctly as described by GhostWhoTalks (Windows and myself (Windows XP) to check and change your System Locale to 'United Kingdom':

Windows 8

Control Panel > Region > Administrative > Change System Locale

Windows XP

Control Panel > Regional Settings > Advanced

1.53 yo

Gotta like free credit. The small % of the population that doesnt use a MS operating system wont be able to take advantage of this deal but hey what do they expect Skype is owned by Microsoft after all.

Cheers mate. Always good to have some credit. I have sent some emergency texts using it when I had no network and the other person had no kind of instant messenger on their phone.

Thanks for this! Not sure why MS did this as an exe rather than through the website but never mind. Voted hot.

Nice deal, thanks!

Cheers :-)

Thank you for your interest in MSN and Skype. Currently this promotion is limited to users from the UK and Ireland. Wtf where do you think I am? Heat regardless

just for fun i've added a link to the post that takes you to the results page you see when you run the exe.

Thanks very much, but really Microsoft a whole exe file just for that?!

Anyone else put Hitler?

I think the free trail of Skype unlimited world package is still valid??. I managed to dig out some old account as well, so have used two promotions thus far

Vouchers not based on IP rather it saves something on your PC. If you can remove it then free limited voucher codes?

Hardly fair making it .exe files, so voting cold. Yet again no love for Mac users, the far more superior operating system.

thanks OP for post.

why .exe files for a simple code that is redeemable once.
cant trust microsoft!

btw comparing both PCs - one used in a multi-billion dollar project with an everyday laptop - that is sooooooo clever, isn't it.
