Was tempted but that £6.99 syrup only does 4 litres. Can see this getting expensive and very soon the machine is at the back of the cupboard with the donut maker/pop cake maker/air fryer/hot dog warmer/smoothie maker*

Watch the video and you won't want one!
30 minutes of tending to it, with god knows how many ice cubes and all you get is one cup of it!

Ah just raid the dusty back of the cupboard for this thing http://cdn.kidscreen.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/MrFrosty.jpg

Wow, i'd never of thought they'd be 5 cups of salt in just that small mixture!.

P.S - It was £49.99...

Not in the actual drink, it's in the outside with the ice to keep it frozen longer.

Actually the pop corn makers come back out recently as a home coffee bean roaster :-)
Where does it say, 'free syrup with machine'?
Any way to put together your own syrup for these for cheaper or are you stuck with their branded stuff?
Can u use this for mojitos

Yes there are loads of recipes on the internet for commercial type machines. I made orange sherbet in mine, I tend to just buy 20liters from my supplier at a time or look on eBay it a want cheap.

You can get this one for £39.99 at Amazon: amazon.co.uk/gp/…QG/

And you can buy twin packs of syrup from Amazon for less than £9 so the free syrup in this offer is really only worth £4.50.

I can second this a proper pain to make you would be a lot quicker having ice / fruit / sugar in a blender

But salt lowers the freezing temperature of water so would make it melt faster

Need to enter FREESLUSH at checkout for free slush syrup.
Under £20 for the proper mix from makro, slightly more online and is made in seconds in a blender that does ice, 5l makes 30 liters off slush.
Now if only they made a Mr Whippy soft icecream version of this. (Not to be confused with Mrs Whippy who is something else entirely)

When you add salt to water, it decreases the melting/ freezing point of the water. So, more energy is needed to melt the water. That energy comes from the surrounding air, causing it, and any slushy making equipment it is touching, to cool.

You can use this idea to make your own ice cream in zip locked bags.

Tempting
I bought it very time consuming if you have 4 kids to make it for and it's now in the back of my cupboard collecting dust, bought another one that shreds the ice and just add the syrup much better
Does this work with vodka?

Awful reviews.
I had a similar machine. It's a real faff to use and sometimes froze too quickly making the plastic scraper freeze stuck. That's was a Giles and Posner One, this looks very similar.
It's a dream come true

Cheaper here:https://www.thefowndry.com/products/slush-puppie-machine

10% off first order if you wait for the pop-up to come on the page making it £54. Not sure whether you can stack codes and get free delivery with the promo code for that too though?

And they take Paypal.

I think people are voting this deal based purely on nostalgia, rather than it being a cheap deal. Its not cheap its the RRP.

Yeah agreed!
Something like frozen real fruit in a Nutribullet topped with a little juice would be better IMO. Faster, better tasting and more nutritious.

Bought this machine and followed the instructions and 1 hour later and the liquid still never turned to slush ,such a waste of money.

I dream of a Mr Whippy machine too. I think there is a thing made by Cuisinart in the US that's a bit like one, can't remember what it's called. I remember Tom Haverford using one whilst glamping on an episode of Parks & Recreation once. Maybe someone here knows more about this?

EDIT - Here it is - amazon.co.uk/Cui…SD0 but it seems to be discontinued now. Mixed reviews too, but probably worth a go if there's one on ebay.

Cheaper at thefowndry.com

Machine £59.99
Syrup £5.99

Use HAPPYDAZE10 for 10% off and it works out you get the syrup free and it's a tiny bit cheaper on the machine but is still less than £70 for the one st the top of the post
I just use the reusable pouches made by Lickleys. Freeze them take them out for 5 mins give them a good old squeeze job done.
